Exclamation Jeter Out For the Year?

Looks like Ken Huckaby may have just separated Jeter's left shoulder.

In other news, Red Sox fans rejoice.

I actually hope he'll be ok. I don't want him to hurt the Bluejays, but I don't want to see him not playing either.

Poor Yankees. I'm sure they'll trade 1 of their 15 starting pitchers for an somebody and then over pay them.

I'm not watching or anything, but it doesn't seem like a separated shoulder would be a season-ending injury.

I sincerely doubt he'll be out any longer than 2 months. It's very hard to be out for an extended period of time unless you completely tear something. It looks more like he seperated a shoulder or broke his collarbone. I have done both and it took 6-8 week before I could play again.

I was fuming after watching the "Closer by Committee" implode in Tampa Bay until I turned into onto ESPN 2 and it brought a smile to my face.

Ahh, I had no idea how long he might be out for, that's why I put the question mark at the end. It did look pretty bad at the time tho.

Yeah.. it looked bad.

It was funny how they added insult to injury by tagging him out as well

Too bad they are getting spanked now

Well, it's not like they're going to say, "Aw, we feel bad you got hurt, let's let you stay on third base and let them bring in a pinch runner who will probably score, which might cost us the game later on."

He dislocated his shoulder, no word yet on how long he will be out.

Yeah I know .. I'm not suggesting they should have not tagged him out ... It was just humourous (in a sort of mean spirited way) how he not only injured himself, but also lost contact with the bag, and was tagged out ..

That was some aggressive running though ... Good heads up by Huckaby ..
