What will happen to the 97 Ty Cobb I just pulled?
I just posted him for a starting bid of 4000pp on a 24 hr auction.
His past 5 bid winners was around 70,000 but his average was around 120,000 and his all time was much much higher. I gave him a BIN for 120,000. I'm completely intrigued to see what his adjusted market value is after over 10 plus seasons of PT

I just realized I posted him for a 48 hour auction, not 24.
Regardless, the current bid is 32,000pp with 36 hours remaining. (I'm glad he won't be getting sold for 4000 lol) |

Okay, there's 24 hours left on Ty Cobb. He's garnered 11 bids up to 32,000pp.
I get he may strike out a lot, and he has no interest in walking to first, but once he gets on base he's a maniac. He'll happily spike an opposing second baseman and then fist fight anyone in the ballpark until he eventually scores. A man's man. |

I know I don't have enough points to win him, so I won't bid simply because I don't want to tie up my points until 30 seconds before the auction ends. Good luck, I hope you get market value.

selfishly, I was hoping no one would spot him and I'd snag him for 4K

There's about 3 and a half hours left and Mr Cobb has 12 bids at 34,948.
I would assume he'll have one more flurry of bids near the end of the auction. We shall see. |

14 bids at 49,026.
50 minutes to go. Will I see one more mass increase? Or after 14 seasons of PT, is this Ty Cobb's market value? Let's see

The final tally was 21 bids for 60,022.
The bright side: He was the 2nd highest amount of a card I sold (Matt Harvey's One Hit Wonder sold for 66,666) The downside: I probably can't afford a perfect Boudreau so I'll probably just open 60 packs and hope to pull a perfect Pedro, Rivera, or anyone else with astronomical price points. Good luck with your stretch runs in OOTP19. Go Colonels and Go Syrups! |
