maybe that's the problem.... he pitched the 10th-14th innings for one team, figured his day was done, then got called on to pitch the 15th for the other team....

I had a Betances do that once, but at least he had the excuse of going out for his 5th inning.

Imagine being on the losing end of that and having to bat in the bottom of the 15th inning, down by 22 runs. I doubt a pep talk would do much good here.

Reading the game recap highlights a weakness in the game I'd like to see improved upon. The game fails to notice extraordinary results like 22 run innings, for example, so the recap doesn't even mention this.
