I won 15 games in a row and only received 250 PP

Total...during that entire time. Is this a bug or a feature because it feels like I'm doing this wrong. It's just a bunch of 5-3 games so I guess nothing noteworthy is happening. Also I'm pretty sure that there is something wrong because my team is not good enough to win that many games in a row.

You get your payout when your streak ends. Don't remember the exact amount, but it's more than 250.

It is 4,000 IIRC.

Sure, there will be a payout at the end. My real thought here was that my team was playing well enough to win now 16 games in a row but nothing else actually has happened that was worthy of achievement in the meantime.

Already 15-0? That's awesome. Wanna see your roster badly.

Sure, here it is. I did have Giovanny Gallegos (68) and Carlos Alejandro Ramirez (61) as relievers for most of the streak and just switched them with Colome/Hernandez. Mostly dumb luck I suppose. Lost the 17th game and indeed did get 4,000 PP.

You've definitely got some good bargain players there (I love Davis at C), but you're right, it isn't a team you'd pick to go 16-0. I bet it was a fun ride though.

It's a well-planned roster which looks good as a team, but doesn't have those individual stars who are going to go 5 for 5 in a game or strike out 12. The system kind of discriminates against teams like this - it's mostly about those big individual performances.

I just won about 250 pp in a slugfest that I lost.

To some extent, but 4000/15 is more per game than 250. How many games does it take an average team to get 4000 points?

Yes, but that was an exceptional situation. It's a nice looking team, but even the OP was shocked to get a winning streak like that. Especially in season 1 when there hasn't been any separation yet and some of his opponents were probably monsters.

We're talking more about general income in a typical year. He was referring to the games during that streak rather than the reward for the streak itself.

At least I think that's what we're talking about...

tracking my daily point tallys for my two teams in my dynasty thread... in the entry league season, it took one team 2 days (real time days, so two months in-game) to gather over 4000 points... the other team took slightly longer than that (2420 day 1 / 650 day 2 / 2510 day 3)

neither team had any mega point games, so it was all small-ball type stuff

While I do agree that it may be easier to win points with slugfests I'm not sure 4250 points over 15 games is that bad at all. That's a pretty fair reward for going on a long streak. I definitely don't think it's a bug that only 250 points were rewarded for the actual games like he asked. And I dont disagree that its exceptional, hence the reward. Just dont think we should expect rewards for non exceptional things, like winning a game.

I used a defensive-oriented team with control pitchers in the beta, a somewhat offensive-oriented team (strictly great contact hitters with little power) and strikeout pitchers now.

The defensive team was very good and never won less than 95 games. The offensive team is fair and an unlucky 17-22 right now.

In the beta I'd get winning streak points, a couple of "throwing a maddux" achievements, things like that. But the team I'm running now has a clear advantage in pp earned with a constant stream of bronze batting achievements and the occasional "corner painter". I think the difference is that an offensive team earns pp even when it loses, whereas a defensive team doesn't. But it might be something else.

I thought most people here agreed that overall, offense and star performers were bigger earners than defense and overall teamwork. That's not been your experience?

Would definitely like to see more pitching and defensive achievement points. Maybe bronze points for quality starts, something for 3+ scoreless bullpen innings in a game...things like that. It would be really cool if they have a way of measuring great defensive plays (or plays that are only made a small percentage of time) and awarding points for that.
