Need New Acronym Other than "PP" Points

We need to come up with a different way to refer to the points in Perfect Team. I've been reading the forums and laugh hysterically every time someone says "make PP".

Maybe, PT, or just points or something else.

Maybe because I am pushing 70 pretty hard, but stuff like that stopped making me giggle many years ago The acronym is fine.

I think if you're over 5 you can handle it.

If I'm thinking it, other people are thinking it or will think it. This is actually something that should be taken into consideration and not dismissed so easily as "I'm old, mature, and superior and things like that don't phase me so they shouldn't phase anyone else."

This is a potential marketing risk that the developers should be aware of. Do you want your product potentially referred to as that "baseball card game where they're always making PP"? Maybe it won't matter. Maybe it will. Do you want the risk of the negative publicity that could generate down the road? There are plenty of examples of this kind of mistake over the years that have cost companies a lot of money and rep repairing the silly little mistake they didn't take seriously before their product was launched in a market.

Haha, I hadn't thought of that one, great now that's all I'm gonna think of

Yeah, I always thought the acronym was kinda dumb though. There's probably something more clever out there. Of course, I'm not clever, so I don't know what that is.

My biggest wish in regards to names is that leagues could be named after baseball greats or something similar and move away from this fraternity sounding nonsense. For the life of me I can't remember the name of my league and when I do look at it, I feel like I should have my baseball cap on backwards yelling Budweiser.... Hell put me in a league called Tainted Meat.....that's better than Chipickled epsilon

I picture baserunners having to chug a beer at each base before moving to the next one.

if I read correctly, the greek naming convention was for the beta only and will change with the reset (hope so)

There's no such thing as bad publicity.

I wonder how Pay Pal survived this disaster. Also the Pope (papa PP) the Progressive Party in Iceland, the Walther PP semi automatic pistol, the law of partial pressure, polypropylene and so on.

Stop being silly.

I think we should change the name of Perfect Points. It should be something more fancy anyway.

How about:

Silver Honors Indicating Triumph?

Accolades Symbolizing Success?

Trophies Instilled to Talented Sportsmen?

Sigh... I can't believe I'm posting on a thread like this. Thank God for internet anonymity.

Nobody refers to PayPal as PP. It's PayPal. The Pope is the Pope. The Progressive Party in Iceland, I have no idea. Is it "the PP party"? The Walther PP pistol. I doubt it's known as the PP Pistol. I've always heard of the Walther semi-automatic. Not a gun expert. So, don't know if that's the same thing.

Your attempt at dismissing me is silly. I'm letting this go now since Markus apparently thinks there's no marketing risk associated with this, and someone else thinks there's no such thing as bad publicity. There is.

I'm starting to see one rule of the Interwebs starting to percolate on these forums. Once you start making your product have more of an online presence, the quality of the community goes down considerably. I enjoy the game, have played since the early 2000s, and have always found these boards to be a little more respectful than those for other games I've enjoyed. Lately, customers concerns seem to be dismissed a little too easily. Several threads seem to be getting locked down immediately whenever the question of paying real money for points is raised.

I'll still enjoy the game, the PP game mode may lose interest for me quickly, but I'm most likely going to be a ghost on the boards from here on out.

Thanks for your discourse. Happy Thanksgiving!

It seems to me that one could just call them Perfect Points instead of PP if they view it as an issue. The fact that Perfect Team uses an in game currency of Perfect Points seems about right. The fact that name has been turned into an acronym of PP makes perfect sense. If the devs decide to change the shortened name to Pee Pee then I agree that is a bad thing.
