Contract extensions and salary cap issue
My team is 10 millions UNDER the cap.During the season I agree to an 11million extension for a player making 10mil this year.
The program tells me that would put me over the cap.Surely I must have done something wrong because if the cap works this way it is a MAJOR bug.Anyone know? |

Know issue. I have logged this into our bug database, at this time I do not have a timeframe when this will be resolved. Sorry

Something interesting - I went back today when another player asked for an extension of about 6mil and had no problem signing him.I had a lot of room left under the cap which was as it should be.

Sounds to me like OOTP looks at that 11M as totally new salary to count against the cap, not realizing that it's only an addition of 1M from the previous 10M. Whereas the 6M, no matter how you look at it is under your cap.
