Games played at DH

Anyone know an easy way to tell how many games a player played at DH for a season?

Or, another way to put it, find out which players played the majority of their games at DH

(this is for Manual All Star voting and end of the year voting)

The fielding screen on a players profile can let you determine if they play dh a lot. That's player by player though. Do my know a way to do it for multiple players.

I don't even think the fielding screen lists games at DH. It only lists games played at other position.

It doesn't. That's why he phrased his answer the way he did.

Ah, yeah I get it now. Yes, I have used the fielding screen and subtraction from total games to figure it out, but that is such a crazy method when you're looking for a good silver slugger candidate. That essentially means you have to go through most of the players in the league.

If so many are SS candidates then it should be easy pickings.

Most teams nowadays use the DH as a rotation position for half days off.

I agree, yet there's still a DH spot for the Silver Slugger. How do you handle that?

I was thinking of basically giving it to someone who just missed out on a silver slugger at their normal position and had spent at least some time at DH.

Then again, there are others that I know spend almost all of their time at DH (again, this is a fictional league). Which is better in your opinion?

Awhile back I wanted to conduct a study on DH usage in the game, but I couldn't because I couldn't find a way to track it even with using CSVs. I even asked a dev for help.

I'd like to see it (GP, or better yet, innings played at DH) get added to the game one day.

Agreed, that's what I was saying. It seems like it wouldn't be too complicated in theory. The same way they track innings played defensively, they could track if a guy was currently in the lineup, but at DH. Or, when they track At Bats, an extra line that tracks if it was at DH.

Interestingly, the AI seems to know though because it always has suggestions for guys for me and each time those guys have played significant time at DH

If a player is set to the DH position his play there is recorded just like a fielding position.

Okay, so where can I find that information then?
