Do 5/10 Ever Approve Trades?
I'm trying to trade Tris Speaker to free up some salary (cheaper, better options in my minors) but he's 5/10 and refuses to be traded.
I've never seen a 5/10 guy waive it - even to go to a contender from bunch of bums. Anyone ever had a 5/10 approve a trade?

I can only trade them when they verbally want out via email cause the team is not winning

In real life, players typically will only green light them when it's somewhere they want to go. So it makes sense that they're rare though I think the modeling and implementation could be better.

It would be nice if this were somewhat replicated. Players who want to go to a contender and/or close to home. I'm sure there are plenty more reasons there COULD be but even that would be adequate IMO. |

I had one in 16. I finally went to the trade screen and tried trading him to every team. Eventually I found a couple teams that he would accept being traded to. Some times the player won't accept a trade to any team. (Maybe he has a nice house and isn't willing to move.)

It happens occasionally and sometimes they only accept trades to certain teams.

I don't remember the trade, but I once had Soriano refusing trades left and right. I was in first place (Cubs), but wanted to get rid of his huge salary.
I tried a trade with the Yankees. Soriano didn't block that one. |
