Dream Starting Rotation!?

After finishing 88-73 with the Mets in 2016 and missing the playoffs because of constant injuries to my starters, I decided to go big or go home on pitching in the off-season.

So, my 2017 pitching staff looks like this... I don't think I could ask for any better.

If we stay healthy, looks like we're gonna cruise into the Playoffs. So what do you guys prefer? Dominate pitching, or offensive firepower to carry your teams?

How much you pay for Strasburg?

Just a bit over 300 million for 10 years.

Pitchers are nice to load up on because they're more interchangeable than batters, but no pitcher pitches a lot anymore and, maybe it's just in my head, but I believe they get hit with more injuries, take longer to develop, and are more likely to fall apart. Besides, hall of famer calibre pitchers notwithstanding, offensive players tend to be more exciting.

Daaang. Haha. I took over the 96 Mariners and have transferred the save over to OOTP 17. Im in year 2003 right now. I kept Randy Johnson the whole time and luckily in those years i only had to spend 11-13 mill a year on him and he so far keeps winning 20 games. Pitching is easy to draft so I sign offense in FA. Ive still got ARod at 26 and a 23 yr old Johan Santana(19-3, 2.72 Era this last season). wbu?

We finished the season with 102 wins on the backs of our pitching and home run power. I don't think we had more than 15 stolen bases on the season, but teams could just not score on my rotation or bullpen.

I'm in the NLCS against the Dodgers right now, and it's game 7 of what's been a pitching series through and through. Sending the $300 million dollar man Strasburg to the mound against Kershaw.

I'm out to prove that pitching rules all, we have to win the Series this year or it's bust for the Mets.
