That's an insane season.

Are statistics a little out of whack? A lot of people had very very good seasons...Chris Davis smashed 55 homers, JD Martinez hit 54, Bryce hit 53.

Yeah it seems like offense is a little too high, probably just a fluke but 11 guys hit over 40 homeruns

As far as I can see, I think some guys have way too high power ratings, but we'll talk it over with Markus and see what going on. If it's an issue, not a fluke, we'll get it sorted

The game looks great all around, I just want to point out that the same season that Trout had that unbelievable 13 WAR Bryce had 10 WAR...

I wouldn't necessarily change their ratings I just think it's the league modifiers that aren't representing the current statistical seasons that the league portrays.

Are any of you seeing extremely dominant relievers?

Cody Allen had a 1.67 ERA in my league and a fantastic season but I'm not sure if it was a league wide trend. What happened in yours?

A 1.67 ERA is very good, but nothing unusual. A couple of relievers do that every year in real life.

The ballpark factors are a bit messy in the beta. I already fixed this for the update on Tuesday

I like that batters get higher ratings again, like they had a few versiions ago. Please keep those generation ratings for players.

If you played the ML quickstart with neutralized parks (all 1.000) the overall totals come a bit more to the mean...so Marcus is right, by taking the ballparks more towards the 1.000 mark will even out a lot the overly high homer guys

The ratings will be toned down a bit, otherwise they wouldn't match the minor league & draft prospects anymore, which would cause issues down the line.

Once a new release is out, i like to sim MLB a few seasons ahead just to see the results, look around at who develops well, who doesn't and anything that stands out, good or bad.

On the topic of Mike Trout, my sim season is in April 2019, and he has already put up 66.8 career WAR, including 32.5 WAR the past 3 seasons! This sort of career did not always occur in 16, but man this guy is putting together a spectacular career and is only age 27 in 2019. Unreal.

Just sharing a bit of fun while acknowledging Markus is aware of potential ballpark factors. Still incredible though!

I've just had one Awesome-Trout in OOTP 16 (Top 5 WAR All-Time and still going), so this feels good to me. At last I'll see him turn into a record beating monster. :P

The real problem with this scenario is that his personality report indicates that he "has a good head on his shoulders" instead of "he is a stupid idiot who is the stupidest player in baseball history and also he is a dummy".
