it may be too late for 15 but.

I was thinking, the biggest issue for new players (IMO) is simple option overload, how do they all interact, ect. & how do other complicated games flatten out the learning curve? the answer is pre-constructed, limited depth scenarios. start with something like... the last month of 1951, then maybe the second half of 81'. are some obvious "easy" level type one.

I realize that configuring the scenarios would be a real PITA but for new players it would be like getting into a swimming pool step by step rather than just cannonballing in.

Couldn't this be done with quickstarts or saved games?
