Demo problem

I have been anxiously awaiting the release of the OOTP 11 demo to see if it was worth upgrading from OOTP X. However, I just downloaded and installed the demo and upon installation, I got a popup saying the trial period for the demo had already expired.

Obviously this is quite frustrating, after weeks of waiting for a chance to test out the game. Is there perhaps something I am doing wrong, or a way to get the demo to function?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I can't help you with your question about the demo but I can promise you you'll be pleased with 11. Its a superior game in every regard.

If it said it already expired that doesn't sound right to me. I think that should only happen if you've already installed it and are trying to install it again X days after. That, or it's a fake demo from a third party site.

You are downloading the demo from OOTP's servers and not elsewhere, right? I wouldn't trust it from third party sites. It's also only out for PCs so far so if that's not what you're installing it on you're out of luck for the time being.

I had a similar problem. I just uninstalled all ootp 11 files and reinstalled and everything worked.

I downloaded the program directly from the link on the OOTP 11 page, so it had me a bit baffled. If I recall correctly, the demo stayed active for a week in prior versions, so I was looking forward to playing it while I had some free time over the long weekend. I'll try uninstalling and reinstalling and see if that works.

Start a support ticket (there's a link in my sig to tech support). Maybe there's something funky about your system that is causing issues.
