Importing 101
I saved the file to my hard drive, but I don't know how to get OOTPX to find the file. Where are league files kept once I unzip?

What are you trying to import? Online league files, logos, templates, rosters?
What OS are you using?

I guess that info would help! I am a first time online user trying to import the league file.. I am using windows XP. I have the league file, unzip it, but must have the file in the wrong place on my pc because the game can't locate the file. The manual is very vague about importing

Yeah, the manual doesn't do a very good job of telling you where the saved_games folder is.
For XP it should be at: C:\Documents and Settings\[your_username]\My Documents\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 10\saved_games. If you put your league folder (some name with ".lg" at the end) there, then you should be able to upload it. If you need more help, reading my installation directions for the CBL might help. Yes, it's a completely different league, but some things should be similar. EDIT: I've moved this thread (and left a redirect) to the managers board so it can maybe help others in the future.

OK, so that helped because the league was available when I went to load a game. However, it told me that the world.dat file is missing. Any other ideas?

If the world.dat is missing that would be the fault of who ever created the file you downloaded.
OR. You created a .lg folder, then extracted the files into there, but they stayed in their own .lg folder. (common mistake). check inside your .lg folder for another folder that ends in .lg
