Crashes When Trying to Go to Full Screen Mode

Version: 10.0.7

PC/MAC: PC

What were you doing? I was trying to go to full screen mode

What happened? I got the following error:

Quote:
Error: 0001:
Unable to open screen mode
And then it crashes.

Reproducible? Yes

Problem occurs with other leagues? Didn't try

Other Info:

I'm using Vista and most everything should be fully up-to-date.

Happened from in-game and the opening screen.

The league is a converted OOTP9 fictional.

Tried it with my Vista install. No problems but I will be making more leagues this weekend so I will keep this on my list of things to check.

Thanks for looking into it Fidel. I would have thought this had come up before, but a search turned up nothing. I only just now saw another thread on it. To answer cody's questions:

What resolution are you using? 1280x800

What type of computer? Acer Aspire 5610 laptop

What skin are you using? black

What type of video card do you have? Mobile Intel 945 Express Chipset Family

I'm using Windows Update right now to see if that helps.

Nope.

Windows Update gave me Vista SP2, MS Office 2007 SP2, and IE8 and none of them helped. Oh well, it's not a huge issue to me as I don't know what I'm missing. I just wanted to try it out considering someone said you get so much more space for widgets with it.

Hmm.. Look at that. I try today and it worked. I guess shutting it down last night might have let the updates settle in or something because now it's working no problem.

This problem is back. I'm using the first patch, but to be honest I hadn't tried the full screen feature in awhile so it might not be due to a difference with the patch.

I don't know what could have changed since it last worked. I've updated a number of programs since.

Have you tried changing skins? I had a similar problem during beta!

Interesting! I started off with black, tried to go to full screen and it crashed the game. I then kept reloading it, trying a different skin and trying to change to full screen, but it kept crashing. Finally I decided to go back to black and change to full screen at the same time and it worked! Then I went back to windowed, closed it and tried again, with it already being in black, and it changed no problem.

I doubt that greatly helps in finding the problem, but it certainly helps in trying to temporarily resolve the issue. Thanks!
