little league

hi guys anyone else ever wish they could adjust the number of innings in a league and have another set of rules to follow little league type baseball etc.

like pitch count rule, ten run rule, and set the amount of innings etc...
Also a nice tournament setup like round robbin etc

maybe some of this is possible now anyone ever tried to mod the amount of innings in a ball game?

Just curious if anyone else ever wanted to play the game this way.

*waits for The Wolf to see this thread*

Seriously though, I think this is a reasonable idea.

The trouble with that is that there are many other rules that would be impossible with this sim, like allowing pinch runners for a player and then having that player be able to stay in the game. Also, everyone on the bench has to play at least one inning or one at bat in the game. And there are other rules as well that I think would be almost impossible to add to the current sim.

I wouldn't mind seeing a game like that nonetheless. I enjoy watching the little league finals.

Thanks guys was hoping i wasn't alone on that just a wish of mine...

Ive played baseball from the time i was 8 years old till i turned 19.
Now im 25 and sometimes think about trying to coach a little league team
or joining an 18 and older league. But for me theres just something special about little league baseball and wish i could relive those times. I wonder how acceptable a 25 year old little league coach would be to those involved.

I wasn't the best player ever but i was a very good contact hitter and would love to share some of that knowledge and theory.

Well anyways i think baseball to be the greatest sport on earth and little league to be the purest form of that sport.Sometimes just sometimes crying is part of baseball... To me i want to see guys want to win so much that defeat is unacceptable and thats what you get in little league... i love it tears can be good for the sole sometimes. We may tell them theres no need to cry about a big loss but deep inside we know its good for them to feel that defeat and strive to be winners.some cry ,some pout, some get mad, thats what winning and loosing is all about. Same in Major leagues as well tho most guys are to worried about image to show a tear or two they like to punch walls etc ... i like to see that tho theres not many that care about it that way when you make millions of dollars a season but its nice to see in the few that do.

I think the number of balls/strikes should be customisable, because it was different in the early days of major leagues (therefore should be acceptable to the Wolf)

This though would require some massive improvements to the AI...

guys who is the wolf?

Anyways i could do without many detailed rules of little league just some basics will be fine with me...

Mainly the number of innings and some type of tournament feature will be cool.

Or other non-real-baseball weirdness.

It really is frustrating.

Hmm i guess i really don't pay attention too the details enough to know whats wrong with the sim as far as that goes... I really enjoy this game at its present state and all the little quirks etc are just other thing to play with to me INT leagues, feeder leagues etc i like that stuff... So to each his own i guess.

For me the only thing i could wish for is customizable game length and some time of tournament setup and have winners of those tourneys feed into another tourney etc. Lastly id like to see more realistic type of winter league setup i think that would be cool as well.

Like i said just a wish i like it as it is just fine .
