Question OOTP9 vs. OOTP8?

Could someone please tell me what there is about OOTP9 that makes it so much better than OOTP8? I very much like OOTP8 from what I've seen in the demo, but since I can't seem to find a demo for OOTP9, I can't really compare for myself without buying it. If there isn't all that much difference, I'd rather just buy OOTP8 for half the price.

Thanks in advance!

BJ

See my post in this thread:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...0-buy-not.html

If you are like me, then what I listed there will be enough to justify the purchase. If you like some of the things that I dismissed, then you will enjoy OOTP 9 even more.

Warning: Note the subtle reference to a lefty-righty split ratings merge problem. That was not resolved in OOTP 8; it was fixed only in OOTP 9. If you don't know what that was about (another warning: ignorance can be bliss ), then see this thread:

Have you checked out the full feature list? Even that's probably not the full feature list as some stuff was added in the patch like the re-vamped development report.

There are some minor things that I preferred about OOTP8 like how the menu was lower in the screen (I really liked where it was!) and the skins looked better (for instance just comparing the blue skins, the little bit of red used in OOTP8's made it look so much better), but feature-wise I think OOTP9 is quite a bit better than OOTP8 and I liked OOTP8 as well.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I should now have enough info to decide which one to buy. Decisions, decisions...
