Yeah baby!
![]() (I'm kind of on the bandwagon, though I said before the season started that nobody has a chance against this Celtics team with Garnett. And, the only reason I liked the Wolves was Garnett...so my loyalty transferred to the Celtics. I don't consider it bandwagon jumping, others might!) |

Indeed, the Celtics are proving to be worthy champions. How long they'll be this good is open to debate, but for now the fans in Boston should relish the moment. I remember when my Blazers won it in 1977 and how elated I felt for the whole next year. I'm just jealous that the New England fans are having all the fun.

It's getting a little dusty here in my room. I've always been on the Garnett bandwagon, and it's been annoying to hear people call him a choker, saying he can't win the big one, giving him the Alex Rodriguez/Peyton Manning treatment. It was garbage then, and now it doesn't matter. He got his, and now everyone can get off his back.
And for the record, I'd like to tell Michele Tafoya and her bosses at ABC: I don't need you asking Garnett how he feels or what he's thinking. I can tell just from watching him. Thanks. |

Too bad the Patriots lost the Super Bowl. It would have been a triple crown for the Northeaster-nahs: The World Series, The Super Bowl and the NBA Championship.

I'm a life-long, die-hard Laker fan and, as much as I hate to see the Lakers lose to the Celtics, they just weren't the better team in the Finals. I could see the inexperience of everyone not named Kobe and Fisher come out in so many idiotic plays and turnovers. Any other outcome just wouldn't have made any sense.
That said, congratulation C-fans. You've waited 22 years. I remember 2000, when we had been waiting since 1988. Enjoy it! By the way, I think Paul Peirce is one of the classiest stars in the NBA today. He deserves this more the KG in my book.

Just goes to show you that if you buy me drinks at a bar, you will win an NBA title.
Nobody deserved it more than KG! What a wonderful night it is!

I'm a huge fan of Ray Allen though so I'm psyched they won for him. You got to love a guy who just goes out there and lights up the opposition, but doesn't need to go crazy showing everyone how great he is. And then tonight with Rajon and all his steals, what a great young point guard he's turning into. Then you've got Kendrick Perkins, PJ Brown, James Posey, Leon Powe, and Eddie House. It's not just the big three with this team; the entire team played great and I just love seeing that.

Yes, "too bad". That's the phrase I was looking for. Exactly. Right. Yes.

Wow, I may not have a lot of money personally, but I currently live in the what has been the richest sports town in this decade.
I feel so spoiled, and it feels so good!

Hehe, not really gloatin', but just appreciative of the moment and soaking it all in in a state of awe. That's all.
I realize I am very, very lucky
