Jersey and Cap logo request
I'm creating a fictional league that starts in 1870 and has 8 teams to start and have created all the logos but I'm not very good at the cap and jersey logos and I was just wondering if I could get a hand from some of the great jersey and cap designers?
Looking for 1870's-ish style. Whatever the designer thinks looks best for either logo would be great I'm not sure what the 1870's uni's would really look like, which is another reason I'm coming to ask for help. Here are the teams and the colors: New York Gothams -8a0e0e -000000 Philadelphia Keystones -7c7070 -f50c2d Brooklyn Knights -3f578e -7c7070 St. Louis Legends -7c7070 -ed552c Chicago Blackstockings -ffffff -000000 Baltimore Barons -1e5dd2 -ffffff Boston Pilgrims -7f4704 -ffffff Cincinnati Scarlets -ffffff -a80d09 |

Holy cow Rainier 1, that is awesome. I love it. I've found out that I think I'm going to have to move my league up about 10-15 years anyway (I don't think the stats are very acurate before about the 1890's)so maybe that will fit into your era. Anyway I love it, and if you've got more time I'd love to see what else you can come up with for the other 7.
Again thanks for your time. Last edited by weidner; 06-30-2007 at 11:10 PM. |

I'm very familiar with No Peppers stuff. He does awesome work, as do you. I love the uni's especially the Boston one with the laces on the jersey very cool. Thanks, can't wait to see the other 4 you can come up with.

Nicely done, Rainier 1. They look awesome, thanks a bunch. I just need Philadelphia and St. Louis when you or anyone else gets a chance to do them.

Thanks No Pepper - it's your templates that make it easy. All I do is paint by numbers.

That's funny Rainier, but I think it should sufice for what I need. Who knows the Legends may only be in the league for a few years anyway. Thanks a lot for your work and time. I may hit you up for a few more at some point in the future. I want to expand my league every 5-10 years. My goal is to have something similar to what the real life Major Leagues are like. Thanks.

Rainier, are you using my templates from within the game or outside in an editor in combination with Deft's photoshop template? I see some green template edging garbage on your jersey files and wonder if I need to clean things up. Doesn't show all that bad on the 'zoom out' player picture but wonder if it is noticeable on a closeup. I might have to pay more attention to quality control, heh.

(shame on me, talk about poor quality control). I'm not sure what happens if your templates are used inside the game with the color selection tool and jersey logos, I never use that method. I always make jerseys and caps from scratch using a layered template. In this case, I used your vintage templates and added layers for shadows & texture. I changed colors using PSP color exchanger tool.
