I hope so, I want to start my league over and want to wait for all the fixes first.

Markus posted over at the FOFC forums that it would probably be Friday.

This could very well delay the OOTP2007 release by 1 day. If this occurs, we will all know the reason why.

First Marc posts the fixes in the new patch at the FOFC's and now this. Is there any reason they get the information before this board?

Let me be the first to say that, once again, OOTP is ignoring the historical replay community. I'll leave it to the rest of you to connect the two. I can't. But I nevertheless wanted to be the first to say it.

If it was just a once or twice thing, it wouldn't bug me much, but they keep doing it. Shouldn't the hardcore fans of the game get the news first? I think they somehow think that those FOFC people are more critical sports simulation fans and that if they can make them happy then we should be happy too. Aren't they first and foremost football sim fans? If so, why try so hard to make them happy? Maybe it's more that they already know most of us will buy the game either way while making FOFC people happy will generate extra sales. Either way, I don't like it. I'm not saying ignore other boards (by all means, generate more sales all you want), just give the hardcore fans the news first, don't make them have to watch other boards to get it. Granted, these probably seem like relatively minor things, but to some, especially the hardcore fans, they're not. Like I opened with, the information in these news releases isn't that big to me. It's more that I just feel like I, someone who keeps buying the game, am being told that I'm not as important to them as people who might not. It might be true, but I don't like it.

I'm not sure if I understand this complaint. Maybe not a comprehensive list, but several pieces of it have appeared on this board:

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...93#post1840893
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...79#post1837679
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...65#post1835965

Plus, many of his "Fixed in 1.03" quickies here and there. I don't feel neglected, myself.

Oh, I'm not saying the majority of the news is released there first. I don't know what the percentage is. Most probably is released here first. It's just that there have been a number of times where news is released there or elsewhere first. They might not even see some of these things as newsworthy and maybe it's just something that would have been posted here first had someone asked about it, I don't know. I just wished they tried to be a little more mindful about posting news here first. Remember when Duffy kept giving us almost daily updates on what was happening with patch 2? That was great. It was probably even going above and beyond what most of us expect. I just feel that releasing news elsewhere first is going the other way. I don't want to have to watch a board somewhere else to get news on the game. Do you?

EDIT: I feel like I'm back-tracking a bit and maybe I am. After re-reading my previous post it does sound a little harsher than I thought it was. But still, let's try to give us the news first. I'm probably not the only who gets his nose a bit out of joint over this.

Blue states, red states, all bunk. You know all those politicians are just different sides of the same coin. Partianship is just a drug they feed ordinary people to keep us busy and stirred up with each other as opposed to with them.
