Funny Player Names
I'm new here, but I'm sure this sort of thing has been posted before. I've just not seen it lately. Anyways, I'm doing an inaugural draft last night, and I ended up drafting a catcher named Paddy Lock. I haven't edited any of the name files. That's au natural.
You guys ever run into any funny names with the normal name file? |

I just recently finished an inaugural draft and had a pitching prospect named Bobby Feller (I had to think that's Bob's grandson?) and a young prospect named Todd Crapper! It made me laugh for sure. One more thing that makes this game so fun.
Oh, and I forgot... a pitcher was named Phil Winner. Of course, I had to take him, too... who doesn't want a winner on their team. "Just win, baby!" Last edited by brookslag; 07-11-2006 at 01:27 PM. |

In my 6.51 league I had a guy finish with 989 career HR's and his nickname was "Biscuit." It made me smile ...

Nivens "Quack" O'Mulvaney is still my champ. He's all in the dynasty I'm doing and stuff.

Your player nicknamed "Biscuit" reminded me of William "The Refrigerator" Perry, a lineman for the Chicago Bears back in the mid-80's. He was also nicknamed "Biscuit"...because he was just a biscuit away from 300 pounds.

I'm pretty sure it was 350 at a training camp weigh-in.

Some of the more amusing/funny names from the retired players list in my league:
Merril Arrol Kalil Bibby Folkus Bumble (must be a refugee from somebody's hobbit league!) Keiran Caron Dave David Br Delpilar ("Br" must be a bug) Tray France Parr Green Michizane Harris Bing Hopps Toussaint McSourly Artie Pickel Tydus Proffitt (you can guess what everyone called him!) Peace Rash Gamba Ruddle Sonny Shirley Storr Stroupe (one of my first HOF pitchers, actually) Snout Trull Cymbeline Winchell (the now-infamous) Freeman Zook |

I've had actor Bruce Campbell and former Mexican president Porfirio Diaz show up in my leagues. Not to mention Lefty McIlhenny (bats right, throws right - maybe he got the nickname because he's a socialist?)

Not really laugh-out-loud funny, but in one of my test leagues I stumbled across one Mark Duff.
Close enough for government work.
