What other boards do you use to talk about OOTP?

I try my best to get around the forums but I want to know other forum where OOTP is discussed - especially as I read a post here from The Wolf talking about other boards and people leaving thre game

If they are, I want to know why. Quite often I can help get their issues resolved....

Show me these forums!

I havent actually seen to much of what The Wolf said was being said. I think once the the roster set and people actually get to playing and not complaining. Everything will come together.

The FOF forums have probably been the toughest from what I have seen, and you are already a part of that, so Im not sure. They are tough on everything over there however, pretty hardcore gamers.

I did find a review however

I don't know if this is the answer you were looking for, but I started a post announcing that OOTP 2006 was coming out over at www.fantasybaseballcafe.com - easily the best fantasy baseball chat site there available. My post was largely ignored, but a couple people who did reply said that they were going to be staying away from the game with one guy commenting that he'd "been burned by OOTP in the past."

I was very surprised by the negative response. I'm a long-time poster at that site, and the people that frequent the site generally love their digital baseball. What I mean is that if I were to start a post at the Cafe regarding MVP baseball or MLB The Show, I would definitely get a rousing conversation. Such was not the case with OOTP...

ps - AFAIK, I'm still the only person to even bring up OOTP 2006 at the Cafe before or since it's release.

Well, Ive mentioned (as so have many others) OOTP on the PureSim forums, but that doesnt mean Ive given up on OOTP. Just trying a different flavor at a sale price

Marc, according to that site, OOTP got a 3.5 out of 10 from GameSpy. You might want to fix that.

Shaun does not allow bashing of other games on the Puresim forum. So you find very general comments on there. Nothing that would help you with any concerns. You will see some very familiar OOTP names on that forum but It is still small in comparison to OOTP. I will not name names because that is their business. But there is no doubt that traffic has picked up on that forum. Is it a major competitor to OOTP...probably not right now. But it is a game that has picked up steam this year. Everyone can draw their own conclusions as to why.

Certainly, the activity level of interest in our game is such that it merits all we can do to monitor feedback at all levels. Interesting to note that even in morning hours (the board would have exact stats - I'm just going off the here and there data) we see Online figures - like today - of 550! people within the forums at one point. Today it was on the order of 130 members, 420 guests. Now that's a lot of guests, folks. We certainly want to know, if possible, what they are thinking.

What he said. I was shocked you would be advertising such a horrible score on your website with fairly positive quotes from the review.

It's supposed to be 3.5 out of 5

I was wondering if that was the score or not. I can't access the review from here since my work has ID'd it as a "game" site and therefore the net nannies have blocked it. Thank god this forum does not use the word "game" in the title!

They ain't afraid o' no stinkin' ratings . . . Seriously, why hide it? It's a good indicator, at least to me, that they're willing to step up to appraisals and work toward changing them. Besides, omit it and next thing you know someone's clamoring about how the GameSpy eval has been overlooked or swept under the rug.
