Standings Issue

I was managing an OOTP6 game when my computer's performance became extremely slow (it's had alot of issues recently). I was able to finish the game, but was forced to reboot the computer while other games were in the process of being completed (it would have taken over 2 hours if I had let it go on). When I opened the league afterwards, I noticed about 4 other games had been completed on that day, but in one of those games, the winner had been awarded a victory in the standings but the loser had not been given a loss. It's a custom league, so all teams play on the same day, but now one team is playing with one less loss than they should have.Is there any way I can manually change the league standings to award this team a loss, or do I have to set up a game in their schedule and manage them to a loss? I normally wouldn't mind, but it's late in the season and they are very much in contention.Thanks.

I'm afraid you're probably screwed. Someone might have an idea, but I doubt it. Even if you could add a loss to that team, is that team's players' stats counted for that game? If not, you'd probably want to fix those too. And if you added another game to their schedule and managed them to a loss then the winner would have an extra win. Pierre might have a utility that will fix things for you, but if he does I don't know about it.

I will suggest, however, that you read and do some of things at: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...d.php?t=113297 which should help your computer problems in the future. I would at the very least do steps 2,3,4,8 (but the windows defragger is fine IMO), and 9. 1 and 11 are good to see how much of an impact all the changes had, but I don't bother with them. Then, when you're done, praise Fidel for putting together that great list giving you a few more years of not having to buy a new computer.

Why did you reboot with other games in progress?

Just for future reference, when other games are being played you can hit the space bar to stop the sim. Even if it takes 5 or 10 minutes, the game will auto save when you stop. Then if you reboot you don't lose things like that.

Thanks for the responses, and the tips. The computer problem was fixed by a friend, but the standings problem remains. With an off day for all teams on the second to last day of the season, I'm going to set up a game between this team and another team (one very by itself in the standings) and intentionally manage them to lose. Sure, there will be one extra win, but oh well, better that a losing team's record is flawed rather than one that might be in the playoffs. And because it's September, I can use reserves only to play the game and not screw anything else up.
