OOTP downloads

Since Joe has gone AWOL for a number of months now I decided to give something back to the ootp community & grab the files he has and host them myself. There are a few that wern't hosted by Joe, just linked to the creators website, those are not included in my list. (BOSI & Draft Dodgers Facepack are 2 of those) I would be happy to add a link like Joe did but I havn't had time to contact those guys. And I havn't included the schedules or older version files, I simply havn't decided on those yet.

The website is part of my CLB site, but the files are hosted on my beat up old windows 2000 file server. This server has worked well for me in the past, but it may bog down if too many are downloading files at the same time. I will upgrade it to what used to be my FPS gameserver as soon as I replace the wifeys busted laptop (sometime after the new year).

the site is just a basic listing of the files, I have no talent for making these things pretty, (so be nice

) & it helps make it easy to update. but the wife said she may help pretty it up some at some point.

So the Base of the site is done www.corporatebaseball.us look on the right hand side. & you can send me any file that needs a home

Oh i also have a section set up in the CLB forums for discussions please feel free to stop by and leave comments.

yeah, me too

I wish I had some sort of webpage building skillz so i could make it look nice ........... but i don't. But I do have the time, energy & space. 3 out of 4 ain't bad

I went over to sim cental and snagged the couple of files from there that i didn't have. so i think I am caught up with those 2 sites.

It looks good to me! I especially like the email and site addresses. You even put the file sizes. I'm not sure what more someone would want.

I was wondering if we shouldn't put something like this somewhere where a few people will have access to it in case the administrator disappears (I was wondering if we should ask Andreas to host it and then if the admin disappears he could appoint another), but it's still nice to at least have it being updated again. Thanks for doing it.

Compared to Joe's site mine looks ................. plain.

if andreas hasn't hosted them by now, he isn't going to anytime soon. There is probably some decent reason why they don't.

And I promise not to go anywhere without at least saying something & handing the files off to somebody else

But the CLB is like one of my children, so its not going anyplace anytime soon.

oh, I added a "New Files" page. so recent additions will be easy to find

With a few exceptions, there's no system in place to let any of us know if someone found a new interest, lost their PC in a house fire, or now live where the gophers get their mail.

I don't know about that. If someone has never asked him I doubt he'd see it as a priority and do it himself.

It's not that. Maybe I missed something, but I doubt Joe just decided to piss off and not pass it off to someone else. Sometimes unexpected things just happen to people and they never get a chance to tie up loose ends.

I'm not trying to get you to do anything though. I was just talking.

www.ootpdownloadcenter.com appears to be down. I got "This Account Has Been Suspended/Please contact the billing/support department as soon as possible" when I visited there last.

thanks, using Joes old site as a base to work from made it pretty easy, it took awhile, but keeping it organized was pretty easy.

glad to hear there wern't any d/l problems, that server is an old machine & i worry about it sometimes
