What do you think about the new OOTPB Baseball Manager 2006 logo?

This is not a very important subject in the overall scheme of OOTPB (there are other far more important areas), but it may liven up the Logos and Graphics Forum for a week or so...and it might get a few of the fine designers to "strut their stuff".

Here is the new OOTPB logo...see it here...http://www.ootpbaseballmanager.com/

I told Marc Duffy of SI that our logo designers could have helped him out on the new logo, especially on choice of colors.

Ole nitpicky me thinks that the colors don't coordinate well...red and blue doesn't look very good with green and tan. In my humble opinion, of course.

Also the baseball park is not all there. It is like part of it was clipped off.

What do you guys think about the new logo?

And if you have the graphic skill, what would you color-wise to improve it?

And if you would like, create your own version of OOTPB logo.

And please post them here...your logos...and your constructive comments, if you have any.

Non-skilled members are welcome to comment as well.

Most of all...be kind and courteous in your comments.

We can all dream

of the day that this product will be released, until then I changed my main screen in 6.5 to the following screen. Of course the file in game is 2.2Mb but for display purposes I was able to shrink it a bit..... this is the actual screen from my game at startup, except that I cut out the serial number and id. If anyone wants this to "Dream" then send me a pm and I will send it to you. The file is large 2.2mb but I can zip it if there is any interest. You just need to put it in your graphics file but I would first rename the current ootp_mainscreen file to a save it....

EDIT: Zipped it is 1.32 MB

Actually the logo is fine. I just don't like the background in it. As you can see I took the background out when I added it to my OOTP mainscreen.

As you can see with the look of the main screen for the current version the blue and red do not look bad. Makes it stand out a bit. Overall it is an okay design and when place on the current screen looks good.

Yeah, I don't think the green and tan are really part of the logo. Yeah, they're part of the graphic, but I really don't see that as being the whole logo. There's just too much going on. What Sandman used of it looks like what the logo will be. It could be better if it had less words, but they're not going to change that and having to fit them all in and be easily readable I think that's about as good as you're going to get.

Both of you are right...the logo is fine...it is just the background that could be better.

SandMan, you did a beautiful job. I really like your background. It is great.

Thanks. It actually looks a lot better in the start up of the game, had to resize and take some of the color away to get it under 100kb. The file in game is 2.2mb, The one down side of this is that ootp uses a small logo in the corner of all their screens and reports this can not be done nicely with the current logo, too much distortion to get it sized.

I don't know, I actually like the design as it is now. It is refreshing and fits well with the SI theme for the other games. But then again, I may be biased though, being that I am a huge Aurelio fan, his work on OOTP throughout the years has made me a fanboy.
