eriqjaffe, several years ago I asked if your software was as user-friendly as justafan's and you told me justafan's was easier than yours... I appreciated the honesty.

I am not very good with computers and software... is your uniforms software as simple and as easy as justafan's jersey and cap software?

I can make fairly good graphics with justafan's logo, jersey and cap software.

Should I give yours a shot?

He may have his own opinion but what I can say is that the installation is really the hardest part. There are some new/different elements to consider but once you go through creating a uniform set or two (ok, maybe 5) it becomes just as intuitive as the justafan programs.

I say go for it. What do you have to lose? You can play around with it on your own time and little by little you will learn it. I'm 68 and not that much computer knowledge, either. Good luck.

try both and see what works best for you. Personally, I love eriqjaffe's more than justafans, partly because it's got a Mac version, but both are helpful...depends on the time and the place.

I prefer eriqjaffe's program because it's the complete package for today's OOTP24. That is that it creates the caps and pants along with the jerseys. Also the number fonts and colors. Basically, you can do more with it than justfan's. I still have justfan's programs. His logo maker I use all the time.

I have ImageMagic installed, open, and I can't generate anything. The red bars just spin round and round as it tries to generate a font, jersey, etc.

ImageMagick is only required for some of the text effects and some of the image processing options, it's not used for the actual saving of files. Off-hand I couldn't tell you why that's happening since I can't replicate the behavior.

There are a couple of places where error messages might be getting generated which might help me figure out what's going on, see this post for information on that:

FYI a bug has been discovered with the Logo Maker that causes the shortcut for the Uniform Maker to disappear:

There's nothing wrong with the Uniform Maker, and if you've installed the Logo Maker you can just reinstall the latest versions of both apps to get the shortcuts back.

Version 0.9.2 has been released!

What's New

Users now get a warning dialog if ImageMagick is not detected. The dialog can be dismissed if the user doesn't want to be warned again.

What's Changed

Fixed an issue that was causing dialogs to prevent users from editing text boxes (and maybe more, but that's what I knew about).

Where does the application expect the magick binary to be found? I installed, but I don't think it's in the right spot for the utility (I'm on Mac which probably makes a difference and/or more difficult)
