FWIW you can do SQL dumps already (well, MySQL but close enough). What the person was asking for is either a way to do them from within the game (which sounds like a lot of extra work for a feature very few people will use and I say this as a person who does in fact use the MySQL dump) or allow players in online leagues the ability to do this (which is problematic for several reasons).

Yes, you can quickly train in new positions in ST. I’ve seen guys train in at a position like 1B in as little as one start.

It'd be nice to add the option to set 'team region' in the league creation wizard.

Also, when creating a league, if the region is set to a specific US state, when the league is finalized it would be cool if the city assignment didn't default to whatever city in the U.S. has the highest population. Example: If I set a league with a region of 'US State: Washington' and choose Blaine as one of the cities, I would like to not have to go into the setting for that team and change it from Blaine, Minnesota to Blaine, Washington.

Voting criteria.
Different stats mean more or less to different voters.
Could have options of whether a player's reputation plays a
part in a vote.

A veteran's committee hall of fame vote with the ability to set the years
the vote covers. Like for example you set it 1960-1980. Only players that retired during those years.

Remove the birthday limitation on manager birthdays.
Would like to create all managers at one time but
game makes you select a birth date no higher than current
league year.

Remove the need to press enter when typing a new owner name.
I dont have to do this when creating a manager.

Ability to select import location for photos of players, managers and owners from different folders
instead of just one folder. Also have the game import them from a folder
for that year. I have player photos separated with a folder for every year from 1871-2016. I'm pretty sure im not the only one that has organized their photos by the years.

Oh and for the love the game
please stop forcing me to make a challenge mode selection when i play as a commish.
I don't need that pop up every single time i create a league.
Not sure if people who use it need the big popup.
Couldn't it just be selection with the other selection choices?

Funny thing is that people are wondering about ootp's future and why
we hardly have any ootp24 news and yet we have many posts with many future requests.
That's plenty for ootp to work on and i imagine thats why we don't get as much news about a new version of the game.

This. This is one of my big pushes. Always very happy when I see others mention a Veterans Committee.

Here was my post on HOF https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=341957

Yeah i've wanted a better hall of fame selection for years now.
Both in ootp and with the mlb.
You spend all that time setting up and running a league.
Better awards and hall of fame selection would add more flavor to
a league. Sure you can do it yourself but it could be time consuming or maybe you want a hands off approach.

I only care about the historical aspects of the game. I no longer care about modern baseball. That's my decision. I rarely play it now. I've tried. I always end up going back in time. OOTP can make modern baseball as perfect as can be. I still won't play it. I'd be only wasting my time. That's just one of the things that makes this game so great. I can play it my way. Modern baseball is not OOTP's fault.

I believe that the pitching and hitting systems are both in need of an overhaul. As someone said, each pitch needs its own "control" and "movement" rating. Teams needs analytics staffs to overhaul pitchers approach...see what the Dodgers did to Andrew Heaney last year. He didn't really change much of the way he threw, but he started throwing some pitches more and others less and went from almost 6 ERA to 3. Teams need analysts (but in order to do that the game would probably need to take in account a lot of other things like spin rates, etc that currently do not exist in game). I also believe that hitters ratings should be calculated differently...hitters alter their swing, their approach to the plate, etc a lot and it leads to entirely different results (for example Joey Votto spoke about how he changed his approach last year, leading to a spike in power but a decrease in BA).
Also, expansion needs an improvement. As someone said you should be able to target an expansion target (2028 for example), and teams will start to draft and having minor league affiliates 3 years before they get to play in MLB in order to have a functional farm. Expansion draft needs to have more options for protections (look at NHL rules to get an idea).

EDIT: sorry for the bad english, it's not my first language.

When implementing league wide changes ( rules, options, financials or anything that effects the whole league) set when they take effect. Immediately next off season next year.

Contract negotiations
Make it work now.
Final offer
Ability to match other offer

Better financial system. More control over cap or tax.

Trades include ptbnl.
Choose type of agm feedback.
For instance don't consider contracts. Better feedback on trade offers. (indigestion comment does that mean if it is indigestion or is a good deal)

When agm wants more ask suggestions.
Turn off AI trade settings, individualize for each team.
Allow promos to increase attendance.
When in tasks a player suggestion shows up have a not interested choice or a max time to show such as one week.
And confirmation for changes.
Player fatigue as it's own rating along with current potential not in

When expanding ability to choose ball parks.

Please excuse spelling mistakes etc. Lousy type on phone.

It would be amazing to be able to set "region" & "draft region" by division.

From the overview screen ability to go to each of the organization's team's homepage.
Fill minors by position. IE every team has players for each. position.

I manage season Yankee tickets for a group (started in 1990 when they were bad and able to get them, so not a front-runner) but haven't been to a game in about 5 years. At one time I'd know who the Mariner backup outfielders were. Now I can't name 5 non-Yankee or non-Met, and not even sure if I can name 5 of anyone on the local teams either. I worked today by watching Youtube of the 1974 World Series on the treadmill. And I only play past seasons in OOTP projects (next for me is '76 Royals)

Owner can override trades or contracts, if they don't want to spend the money, or if they do.

In the team each of the team dropdown menus, especially in bigger leagues (think college feeders), it's easier to open the team selection menu and then press the letter corresponding with the team you are trying to retrieve. Works beautifully. Except for the letter V. For some reason when you press 'V' it does nothing. U works, W works, all the other letters work (not sure about Z).

Added a picture to illustrate the selection dropdown I'm referring to.

My suggestions are more on the technical side of things rather than game play. Proper support for widescreen and ultra widescreen would be nice. More font choices and more varied font scaling/sizing also would be nice. Trying to play this game on a monitor with a super high resolution and reading the tiny in game text (even when set to the largest font size offered in game) is an eye strain.
