*sighs*
put up a 12 spot in the first inning.... and lose.... I need a drink ![]() edit: btw.... what's an 11 run comeback worth? (on the plus side, I racked up some points with 12 runs in an inning, so it's not all lost) Last edited by stl jason; 01-23-2019 at 06:58 PM. |

The Hungry Hippos had a heckuva month of June, going 22-5 and opening a 15 1/2 game lead on the second place team. They are now 53-28.

The Hoggs stumbled their way through June, going 12-15. They also lost their 1st game of July, somehow managing to get shut out 1-0 despite putting up 10 hits.
51-33 for the season, their division lead down to 3 1/2 games. The Daytona Dragons are their closest chasers. The Dragons have built a park that favors LHB and rewards LHP. They're 31-11 at home but only 16-25 on the road. The Hoggs are only hitting .257, 5th-best in the conference, though they've slugged a conference-leading 99 homers. The 294 runs they've conceded is the least, though their run differential has dropped to +69. Best starters and 3rd-best bullpen but just struggling to get guys across home-plate at the moment. Still 1 game above Pythag. PP earnings today: a measly 230.

Early June was dire for Portland when they dropped all the way to two games under .500, including a torrid two series against Harlingen where we dropped five of seven to a team that hardly won another game on the month (except for taking two of three from the Laser Kiwis
), but at least they rallied nicely overnight, I dare say.

I'm glad the two walk-off-losses in a row to Harlingen bought the Raccoons some comfort! The Laser Kiwi pitchers are getting bloody shellacked. My Sandy Koufax has an ERA+ of 82 (though I realise now that he hasn't had an ERA+ over 100 since we got promoted to Diamond!).

![]() But yeah, tell me about paper pitchers that have neat stats but get rocked around at every turn. I have two diamonds in Cole and Nola that are just getting roughed up. Nola still looks decent this season, but was beyond awful in Gold last season and was benched most of the year. I still nurse that 71-rated Craig Swan, though Diamond seems indeed to be outside his comfort zone.

After having a -7 Pythag, we still managed to have a decent month, going 15-12 and winning the July 1st game to finish with 9 of 10 victories. So now we're 39-43 which isn't so bad.
I did make 1 little upgrade that strengthens my bench so hopefully that will help a little. My offense is #11 in the NC in runs scored which is the best it's been in several seasons so that's encouraging. Maybe 1 major offensive upgrade away from having a decent diamond level team.

The Yaks were 13-13 in April, 14-14 in May, and finally 17-8 in June. The result of finally playing some decent ball is that we have made it up to second place only a couple games behind. As long as we make the playoffs...

Saint Paul Fighting Saints are 52-31 but still lagging in second place due to a .726 winning clip by the jersey butchers butcher. Nice job by them in D362.

Interesting stat showing that many of my wins are due to pitching and defense.
I am 12th in my conference in runs scored so maybe 25th for the whole league, yet I still l have a +108 run differential. |

20-7 in June for The Expos Legends...best month ever! Worst offence of the conference but the 2nd best defence and pitching staff of the conference.

Corsairs are playing .500 at 44-43 a hot start in April led to a 10-18 May then a 14-14 June. Chris Sale went 5-0 with a 0.85 WHIP & .264 FIP to take Pitcher of the Month for June.
Reavers are at 48-39 1.5 up in their division. Ichiro (2004 69) took Batter of the Month hitting at a .415 clip, .997 OPS, .173 OPS+. Subway Rats are 38-48 in P403. A 9-17 May dragged them under but there is always hope they'll pick things up. Offense and Pitching haven't performed up to snuff. |

I'm "proud" to say that my Clippers have lost the most games by 1-run of all the teams in the league. We're 12-23 so far in 1 run games. We just got swept by the division leader, all of which we lost by 1 run each. We're 43-49 with -6 Pyt and +30 RDiff. Surely, we'll get luckier at some point, right?

About to give up on this game, it's just WAY too streaky. I expect some unrealism here, but it's just so beyond unrealistic.

I do know that several people have complained about this, but I'm in my 8th season and I'm just not seeing this so it makes me wonder why the difference in perception. Maybe I've just been lucky? Or maybe we're just not interpreting the data in the same way?

So happy with my new purchase after a rough start. 3 shutouts in first 7 games!

Talk to the 2018 Mets. 11-1 to start the season. 5-21 in June. 18-10 in September. And I watched almost all of it. It was real. It actually happened.

I have long complained about HUGE swings in player performance. For example explain how this hitter is currently hitting .221 in 96 games in BRONZE league |

Without more information, that looks perfectly plausible to me. Why don't you think this should be possible?
