Sorry I ghosted everyone. Off the grid for the last week or so for a chillaxing vacation in the wilderness.

Can anyone explain the Platinum Series? I know nothing.
Edit: Ignore this, I had a quick look at the stream. Last edited by Tinkerman; 06-17-2022 at 09:27 AM. |

Gold league:
Just a handful of OL games. Claptown stands pat and remains in a good position, but more OL games around the corner to test them. |

Ol s253
Port Ruppert took five of seven from Bushwood to eliminate the Caddies from crown contention. The teams do not play until the final three games of the PT season in Glorious Mundy Stadium. In the parallel crown chase, the Doug Outs and Auckland Athletics did not play, so Doug held on to the top spot. The teams meet three times in August before squaring off for seven games in September. They will also close out the PT season against each other, as the Athletics invade the Out House for the final three games in October.
In PT play, all four teams are still in the playoff hunt, though Doug is currently on the outside. It is unlikely that any of the quartet will slump into relegation. I may not get a chance to post standings tomorrow, but, as noted above, there are only three games on the OL schedule. I'll try to provide a quick update if there is a tight chase heading into the final series. |

Platinum Series cards have injected new life into packs. Opened over 100 last night after selling things, and despite not selling a pulled 100 Willie Mays (up for a sell order of 100k), I've pulled several platinum cards, including 94 Firpo Marberry, 84 Bip Roberts, 71 Arky Vaughan, 69 Carl Yastrzemski, 68 Willie Greene, 68 Bucky Harris, 54 Davey Lopes, 52 Chick Stahl, 49 Jhan Martinez, and 47 Eddie Plank.
Some of these cards are gonna change tournaments as we know'em. |

Diamond .355
Well, checked in 115 games and it looks like the Barons first visit to Diamond Level will be short and sweet. Currently at 50-65, they appear to be headed back to Gold. I was hoping I could maintain my progress even if I couldn't advance any further, but the reality is I got promoted before I was ready - so a return to Gold should give me the chance to build up some further talent before I try Diamond again.
I'm spending a couple weeks on the lake this year. Weather has been perfect so far, and listening to waves crashing on the beach is so d&%m calming, LOL. A quick look at OL action shows North Bay leading with a 9-4 record with Almori trailing at 5-4. HRB |

Gold League
The Nighthawks won 7 games on the spin and sit in a commanding position. Pretty sure they can put it to bed by winning 1 more game. However, there is still a slim chance for some kind of dramatic turnaround!

Bronze League
A fairly busy OL schedule means that everyone from Brooklyn up still has a shot (I think...).

Exciting Finsih on Tap for OL S253?
A sweep of the Doug Outs at Whitaker Peanuts Slab Fields, set the Auckland Athletics into the driver's seat on their side of the crown chase in silver. With the first seven of the final 10 games at the friendly confines, the Athletics could be on the cusp of signing a lease for the penthouse before visiting the Out House for the final three days of 2027.
In the parallel race, Port Ruppert will host the Bushwood Caddies to close out 2027 with their own designs on top floor residency. In PT play, only the Doug Outs would seem to sorely need a late season rally to earn a playoff spot, so OL should be well represented. No team appears to be in danger of relegation. |

Here's a tidied up version of the Landsharks logo. The original I found on the web was pretty rough, so I played around a bit.

Coney Island is sitting at 90-50 with a 3 game division lead. Even if they squander the lead they should be a lock for a wildcard. Really hoping we can hit iron next week and finally see some -OL in my league.
Opened six packs this morning, about the best I can say is I earned my points back thanks to a live diamond and gold. I was going to buy six more but felt my luck was used up not taking a bad loss on the first six. I will check in tomorrow afternoon to let you know where the Warriors will be next week. |
