Gold league:
6 OL teams in 6 different divisions at least there should be a fairly even distribution of OL games.I'll be away next weekend, so if someone else wants to cover the Gold standings this week, feel free... or if I need to cover them Mon-Fri, I can but won't be available Sat/Sun for the final standings. |

Here's the league set up for 2027. Not sure why Savannah and Colorado Springs didn't make it. Port Ruppert played both of them in last season's playoffs and both are still on my Friends List. Unless both teams' friends list setting got inadvertently reset, I think PT had its usual brain fart. I will do the standings this week, unless someone else can, but probably won't get a chance more than once or twice before the final day. Each of the four teams will play 19 games against their division foe, but no other OL games. I must admit that having less time to devote to the game has made it quite a bit less frustrating, though it is somewhat embarrassing that both Port Ruppert and Terra Incognita have been relatively more successful with me out of the way. Hmmm.....

Savannah and Colorado Springs left out of Silver OL chase
Bushwood is also Friendly with the Savannah and Colorado Springs organizations. Owner Judge Smales has indicated their staffs are always welcome to come by and mow his lawn. |

It'd be great if you could do it up to Friday, and I'll cover the weekend.

Gold league: mid-May update so some of yesterday's games and today's games... Claptown jumps out to the early lead, with Waffletown the only other team at/above the .500 mark. |

News from D355...the Patriots and Blizzard play out a 21-inning slog with the Patriots winning 9-8.
The 21 innings isn't the most amazing thing. That would have to be Del Crandall coming in to pitch 3 innings, walking 4 and striking out 3 on 60 pitches to somehow pick up the win. Time of the game: 7 hours, 44 mins. Fans come to North Bay for a 1:10 start and make their way home just in time to go to bed. Thank you for coming to this what the actual <bleep> news flash. I will drink beer now. Last edited by Magus978; 06-15-2022 at 12:14 AM. |

OL Silver
In the bifurcated world that is OL Silver, we could have a four-way tie. I'm glad I kept a copy of the tiebreakers. Wow, old age can be weirdly interesting in terms of how memories are stirred. The first line of this missive somehow sparked a remembrance of a mediocre song, by a mediocre group, to wit, "Five O-clock World," by the Vogues. Although this may have been the "best" of a bad lot of tunes they recorded, it was by no means memorable. I have to confess that my "favorite" song of theirs was "The Dawn of Correction," a "so bad it's good" answer to Barry McGuire's 1965 classsic, "Eve of Destruction." Anyway, I was tempted, albeit very briefly, to continue this post with "Five O-Clock World" in mind. You can thank my busier present schedule for saving you from that.
By the way, here are the standings. Should be posting an update on Saturday. Also, if you're singing the first sentence in your head, you must be old like me. Enjoy the ear worm.

A mid season check in on Coney Island from out in the wild. The Warriors currently lead the AC Central by 2.5 games with a 52-30 record a bright side. On the down side at the halfway point the bullpen starts fires instead of putting them out. The RP have blown 12 saves, not a good sign, even in the small sample size at stone level.
I havent done any exploring this week for any players but the holes will be filled by best available at best price (or hopefully a little pack luck). I want to sit on points while the team is still raking at lower levels-Had two quality outing streaks that netted 3K each this week so far. Havent missed a log in day as the points and points from packs really add up. Hoping the team can get themselves up a level and face some OL teams next week. |

I wouldn't read TOO much into it. Player performances seem to have become randomized in just about every way possible, on a day-to-day/week-to-week basis, right down to the ability to tie their shoelaces, and possible even remembering their own names!

Austin strengthens its lead, but Holy City is coming like a...well, we're a little sensitive in this part of the U.S. from June to November about such things...let's just say they might live up to their name.
