And it should be "shoots," not "shots."

Here's a minor request that i find irritating with how ootp does it.
The team/league history, i would like to see the most recent season at the top and the older ones at the bottom, at least that what i hope happens here. This goes for all award winners too and other lists. In ootp i constantly have to scroll to the bottom of the screen or sort each time as i'm always interested in the recent information. It's just an added unnecessary and unpleasent step that i hope doesn't get put into this game too. I know it seems like a small thing, but many small things like that take away from some of the enjoyment as it justs extra work. I work enough at the office

Goalies who wear their trapper on the left hand, as most do, shoot left, not right. They hold their stick with their blocker hand, right, and it's a natural movement to slide that hand up to the butt while the trapper hands goes to the middle of the stick, therebye making them left handed shooters.

I think we've picked that up in beta testing, but I'll double-check that it has been reported.
Rather than "Glove", I'd go for "Catches" IMO.

Sorry, my build was just not up to date. The mistake was reported from the beta team and is already fixed for version 0.8.3.

TBL has certainly worked wonders with EHM. Without them i would not be playing EHM to this day. Using the community as an advantage and tool would certainly be the wised thing to do. Even releasing an editor or excel file for people to create and import before the game was officially released would of been neat, than once the game was released we'd have everyone up and ready to go. Too late for that now i guess. Archi, you one of the beta testers? That's one of the smartest moves Sebastian has made!

![]() For the editor/community stuff: we are fully aware that the community is our strongest asset now and even more in the future. The OOTP community is one of the strongest I ever saw for any game I play myself. Thanks to the hard work in the last few years we can already use stuff as the Text Engine (News), injuries and world.xml file (all with modifications of course). To support modders they have to know the game. How would you rate player if you never saw the game? Additionally, not a single rule is hard coded in our game, which is a massive diference to EHM. But get the initial setup done is a pain in the ass and a lot of tweaking/fixing is necessary. It would be a nightmare for me to manage not only the beta team but also handle all the requests from the public forum.

Hopefully everything will be modifiable so the developers don't have to waste time doing things that the community could be doing.
An involved community is one of the best assets for success. Instead of the developers handling requests from the public the community could do most of that work. |

I don't quite agree with Vikingstad being only a "Normal Player" with Stavanger and with him being "Very Inexperienced" though - but hopefully this is just because the database is not finished? |

Basically, Vikingstad is a team in a non-playable league (as of today, just an example). The "only" information we have is correct league setup, correct team infos and correct players on the team (player have just basic bio data available).

...im wondering myself what does "Team Status" even mean? Does a "Normal Player" mean a "Depth Player"?
Seems alittle strange that this category is even in there but then again i don't really know what it is and how it changes...i will have to wait and see

I was wondering if it was like EHM where the user tells the player if he's a Key (Top player), Core (Top 6 forward/Top 4 Defenceman/Top Goalie) Depth or fringe because that system was good too (although could be improved upon)
So it's the players "expectation" of his role on the team? I like that...i don't want the game to tell me he's a first liner or depth player, that's my job or the (AI) coach to access but for the player to say he's expecting a Star Player Role (1st line minutes, and PP), to be a depth or fringe player etc is great. Also i can only imagine this game won't have facegen (which is fine) and i'm not one to use facepacks so it would be nice for that space to used for something else (if the user doesn't want to have facepacks). I've mentioned the player jersey with team colours and his number would be great or even his number with the team colours would be cool too. Or even the teams logo...just something to fill in that spot besides a generic photo. In the end though, it's just a minor eye candy thing but would help get people more invested. I can't even say how much time i've spent creating and customizing my players jerseys in ootp...

Presumably such stuff is flexible regarding who the team in question is? I'm thinking about how a guy who is a back-up goalie like Jonathan Bernier would expect to be a starter for Columbus but does not expect to displace Jonathan Quick in LA. This works the other way as well. Someone who is the go to franchise player for the Panthers shouldn't always expect the same profile if they are traded to the Wings. I know this is a huge requirement and I don't expect you to be able to do it in v1 but the psychology of a player should be a factor in his success in different roles at different franchises. Some players should want the limelight and be desperate to play in a big market whereas others might struggle under the pressure that goes with being, say, a Leafs player. Some guys might perform better as one of a host of stars on Broadway compared to the pressure of being expected to carry a franchise as the top dog. There should be some players who lack ambition to be a top liner and some whose faith in their own ability exceeds their actual skills. Add to this the fact that some players might do a Jeff Carter and sulk about being traded to a struggling franchise. |
