Another win. Hinske goes deep, Overbay hits 2 out, and Janssen pitches a great game.

11 games over .500, 4 games back of the division and 1 behind the Yankees.

The Jays are the 6th best team in baseball right now... if only they weren't in the AL East.

Yep. In the National League we would have the 2nd best record, and only two games behind the Mets for the best record.

Alrighty. A five game winning streak. The only starter who has allowed a run during that span is Doc Halladay. We're tied with the Yanks and 4 back of the Red Sox.

The down side is that Rios has been placed on the 15-day disabled list. Chad Mottola has been called up to take his roster spot.

The downside is also that outside of one loss, Boston just keeps winning.

Five Jays named to the all-star team: Roy Halladay, B.J. Ryan, Troy Glaus, Vernon Wells and Alex Rios. Rios won't play since he's on the 15-day DL...

I'm surprised so many people were named to the all-star team. They were all deserving but still, we're more represented than both the Yanks and the Red Sox.

I haven't looked at the stats of anyone on the Yankees or Sox recently so I don't know if there are players on those teams who have had better years than the five Jays named. However, I don't think team position should be a basis of naming players to the all-star team.

Oh I don't think so either. It's just surprising to see more all-stars coming out of Toronto than in Boston/New York.

Jays fans should take a moment to appreciate the kids they have playing down in the Appy League. The Pulaski (Va.) Blue Jays are riding the best current winning percentage in professional baseball, if I am not mistaken.

We could be in a worse position right now. All-Star breaks here and we're 5 behind the Red Sox and 2 behind the Yanks.

Hopefully Rios will be back soon after the All-Star Break.

Halladay gets the win today and takes the major league lead in wins.

Well, after all that's happened with him tonight... they didn't have many other choices.

He will most likely not be cut though. He'll probably be traded, though I don't know how much trade value he'll have left now that the Jays HAVE to trade him or risk losing him for nothing.

Trade value might not be a big problem if more than one team want him.

Someone will take him off of our hands. We won't get much for him, but...that's not really an issue at this point, we just need some depth anyway.

Am I the only one who's not exactly torn up by the Hillenbrand situation?
