We'll probably get the usual "The game plays the way it's intended to play" reply from Markus.

It's the classic reply when he can't fix a bug.
There are a lot of complexities built into how the AI handles prospects, including the number of minor leagues, roster limits, overall league setups, and recent coding by Markus to ensure this doesn't happen - or is almost neglible - in traditional setups, i.e. most modern settings. So looking into again, in the context of the variables that have been offered up (some have not and are just the isolated complaint without background), will require a little more than just a glance. I am confident Markus give it its just examination.

As to your comment, if you haven't done so, submit an official ticket with your problem and before it's said and done - meaning when Markus is back and dealing with everything on his table - you'll get an official response. I doubt it will be the one you're predicting.

Give me a break.

For how many versions have we had this bug and you want me to make another ticket about it?

Sorry but I have better things to do then stating the obvious over and over and over gain.

Not to be too much of a jerk but, obviously you don't.

Guess I must have misunderstood "I better things to do than state the obvious over and over" while you were stating the obvious, I have to assume for more than the first time. Sorry, I have that problem.

PS: "Been here a lot longer then you so I know the facts more then you do." doesn't make you sound more knowledgeable; more like a pompous ass. Of course you might have been going for that so who am I to judge?

Just went through my league transactions screen (admittedly for just one season) --- midway through from draft to end of season, none of the top 5 rounders have been dropped by their drafting teams yet....but something I'll keep eye on myself. (I play a fictional with full minors and two levels of feeders).

I am surprised, as I don't recall ever seeing this with X but have seen it rather often in 11 using basically the same setups...

I haven't posted here in years, but I was browsing the forums to see if I was going to get the newest OOTP (OOTP9 is the most recent one I have). Since I'm strapped for cash, I was going to base my decision not on new features, but on whether a couple bugs that really bother me have been fixed.

To see this one hasn't is upsetting, and I'm going to hold off on 11 for now. I may just wait until 12.

I'm not saying this in some angry "I REFUSE TO BUY THE GAME" way. But I just hate having to constantly monitor the FA pool and play God by having the team that released a guy sign him back (this doesn't always work, though when it does, it seems they don't re-release him).

I should ask though: is the current form of the bug limited to draft-day releases? Often times I'll have a top prospect released the NEXT draft day (so a new slew of amateurs are coming in, and the best player at the single A level gets axed while all the 29 year old minor league FAs keep their A-ball jobs)? I'm kinda wondering where we're at with the progress of this troublesome bug being fixed.

As far as Markus is concerned, it pisses off BusterKing, so it's working as intended.
