I'm not being screwed. I didn't have unreasonable expectations. I also didn't pre-order until last week. I think you're really mad at yourself for behaving foolishly. If you don't buy the game in the future, few of us will miss you. |

I'm with Feezite on this one. How this phrase has not only been twisted but become so widely accepted is beyond me. If you could care less about something then it might not be so bad. But if you couldn't care less then you really don't give a damn.

I have a solution for you, if you still want the game to be delivered on time for the start of the MLB season : get a refund and buy the game back just before opening day or spring training of the 2010 MLB season. This way you'll save some money and you'll get OOTPX in time for the start of the season!
If the system does not work like you want it to, make it work like you want it to work! I guess I'm just being an assologist...

It's kinda cool that next year we won't have to deal with RobWarwick!

Buyer Beware!!!
I put $4G into my IRA last year and it's worth about $1.75 now. Should I go down and assault my advisor? "You pays your money and you takes your chances". |

well seeing how you have SQUAT to do with the game, I could care less if you miss me or not. Markus is the one who ought to be concerned for [beep] speaking for him all the time. If he loses a customer because of a [beep] like you speaking for him, then he ought to be very concerned. And if you think you are doing him a favor by being a [beep] to noobs, then you are also a [beep]. and again, only an apologist would think it outrageous for a person to think, back in Feb when pre-orders were offered, that when he stated spring release he meant some time around the beginning of the MLB season.....after all, it's a freaking BASEBALL GAME I didnt think it had to be before the season or on opening day....just sometime around the opening of season....a couple weeks after, fine. but not when 25% of the season was already over. I'm still (somewhat impatiently) waiting for the release, and still playing 9 until 10 is released, but frankly no GAME is worth raising my blood pressure. By the way, I love the improvements/addtions in 10. I hope they live up to expectations. |

It is a baseball game Rob. It is baseball season. The game did not come out when MLB: The Show did but then again, the game is created by a very small team and is infinitely more complicated(you may think otherwise but the engine is indeed much more complicated). When you pre-ordered you agreed to give your money to a company that has delivered 9 other baseball games. Name another company that has done that (your list should only include 2 or 3 others-tops) You also acknowledged that the time line was a spring time line. Most text based companies do not release a specific date because they don't want to have to worry about deadlines and constant barrage of forum posts. The game will be out in about 10 days now. Give it some time and cool off a bit. I am sure you are really going to like the game. In the meantime, try out OOTP 9 or go download the full version of OOTP 5 which is now free.
The OOTP community are not apologists, instead they are loyalists. Many have played OOTP since version 4 or before. You will have a tough time convincing them you are right when many have literally had 1000's of hours of OOTP enjoyment over the years. However, Markus should be more vocal with the forum members. After the recent pleas, he made an announcement today so maybe posts like yours are the way to get your message across. The game is worth the wait. Just relax. |

I don't understand how people can have such empty lives that their whole existence hangs on the release of a game. Don't get me wrong - I love OOTP, but it just adds to my life. It ISN'T my life.
