I 1000 percent agree with this. Every word.

Most importantly, whether someone is bothered by the lack of a release date or totally fine with waiting it out in perpetuity, we’ve got to refrain from the personal attacks. Some of us have begun to get out of line with that. Whether you’re frustrated or happy, don’t call out anyone. It just makes this whole thing worse.

Personally, I get one month a year off work. And it’s July. I do a lot of travel and see family and friends I don’t normally get to see. Last July, what got me through a lot of hours of travel was OOTP Go. It would be nice to have that this July. Or at least know when it will come out so we all can have some much needed peace of mind.

The update is more for PT23 access. Which has had many glitches along the way. Not sure how much the game itself will change?

They're creating a separate release for PT23, but I understood it was always planned that code changes in the desktop game would make their way into GO (things like the catcher framing, AI improvements, etc).

Good point, but I think most phones and tablets these days are well above the minimum specs of the desktop game.

They also use OSes that require the code to be recompiled or even reworked in a slightly different language.

May be above but not necessarily that far above. GO requires 2 GB if RAM and my tablet has 4 GB of RAM

Since the gamemakers don't seem inclined to charge us or provide for regular roster updates, at this point (knowing i'm in the minority) i'd rather they just wait to release the game until after the trade deadline. That way the rosters are set until march when we can all start griping about a new ootp go 24 once again.

@OOTPDevs, you might want to remove the big banner ad on the homepage for OOTP GO until there is actually a game available in the app stores

And any update would be welcomed at this point ...

I agree.

I have been a major supporter of the development team for years and believe much of the criticism on the board is way over the top. That said, there is a point where the lack of news becomes absurd. The post saying it would be out for beta “next week” was almost a month ago with complete radio silence since. It’s good to have a fan base that cares enough to check here every single day for an update, but you should honor that in return.

Most reasonable people on here have not demanded the game be released (and it’s good not to if it does have issues as that would damage the brand with new customers on the App Store), only that we get an update.

Keep in mind that GO, to my knowledge, has only one programmer. It also has to be tested on multiple devices. So, progress is slow ... but sure.

Not sure on how many ptogrammers but for Android they then have to test on at least the commonly used devices that meet the specifications. Then they have to do the same for Apple

I think there are several of us that would gladly help with the testing, but there's been no response to questions about how to become part of the beta team.

And yes, I understand that beta testing is not just playing the game as usual.

Sadly, there is no other sports sim on Android that comes remotely close to OOTP in my opinion.

So no matter how frustrated I get by the lack of communication, I will get the game whenever it's available.

I just wish we would hear something from the OOTP team.
