I don't think you understand. Say player X is an E in LF, a C in RF, and a A in CF, he might request 2M if his primary position is set as LF, 3M if set as RF, maybe 4M if set as a CF. I'm not talking about before and after editing. Like I said though, it's rare enough now (it wasn't rare awhile ago) with batters that I personally don't care. I'm only really concerned with the pitchers now. Markus is going to look into it and I have to get back to work.

EDIT: Thanks Markus for jumping on this so fast.

Ah, so you edited them and then compared the difference between positions...makes sense.

kq - Did you see or look for differences at DH vs. regular position?

Yes, and in one instance I saw a player go from SS to DH saying he'd hear an offer to saying he'd sign a minor league contract. For another player his demands were the same for LF, CF, and DH, but not RF which he was better at.

OK, it seems there is still a slight problem, but it is much improved from previous versions. Anyway, I put it on the list for the next patch

We're in the middle of Free Agency in a Online League. If a owner exports with a un-patched ootp, and the Commish imports with a 6.10 patched OOTP, will the unpatched import still work?

We had a number of people export their FA offers last night, before the patch was announced, and it would be a real pain for them to patch and redo all of their offers.

Any official word on this situation?

Thanks!

Computer AI Still Making Unauthorized Roster Changes!

Markus, thanks for all your hard work. The game is looking better and better. However, I can't comment on how it plays since the AI is still making unauthorized roster changes.

Using the "Replay Mode:"
Even though I disable "Trades," "Financials," "Waivers," and in the Misc. Setup Menu I turn on the "NO" AI Free Agent Signings in the the League Setup Menus, the bloody computer is still signing up FREE AGENTS and, I guess, dropping other players from the roster since there is always only 40 players per team.

Now, I thought you had addressed this issue in the "Replay" mode? Is there something wrong or is this suppose to happen? Is there anyway we can prevent unauthorized "free agent" signings as well as the unauthorized replacement of original roster players? Also, can this be applied to the "Career Mode" as well?

If not, why not?

I would be much encouraged were to to offer a reply to this question and let me know if there is something on the drawing boards to address this issue?

Cheers
Spanky

The imports will still work just fine, BUT there may be some oddities since player demands have changed between versions. I would recommend that you have all owners get the update as soon as possible. Definitely before the next FA exports.

So what's the time table on that next patch? I'm just curious. Weeks? 2-3 months? Longer?

Can you rate the player internally based on each position then just use the highest rating, regardless of where he is assigned? Its how the player would do it in the real world. He would think of it as where he 'should' be playing. In fact, if he is playing 'out of position' he may not want to resign with his current team.

Thanks for the patch tho! Keep up the good work?

So, when's the ITP patch due?

Just played my 1st game with the patch...

Walk off HR by my backup catcher who PH for the P 2 innings before. Then I got an email from my team physician saying my star pitcher was not heeling right and would be out an extra week. Had to put him on the IR....

...Sweet.
