Have OOTP6. Can count on me for activity ETC.

Would like to take Sundiata Bisons, but if they are taken, any team is fine.

The Mansa Musa Nyameras have been taken.

EDIT: If someone just wants a team but does not really have a preference, you might want to first consider Sahara or Swahili. They're both in the same division and I'd prefer to have only one open team in a division. If you prefer one of the others though, then by all means, ask for that team instead.

If anyone emails us and doesn't get a response soon after, it's just because Jeff and I will both be away until tomorrow (Thanksgiving for me, I imagine some mad biochemist convention for Jeff). I'll email you back asap though.

I can highly recommend this league.

I joined at the start of the KBL's third season and I have loved every minute of it (even despite the fact that my Timbuktu Colobus did just get run out of the first round of the playoffs).

Kieran is an incredibly dedicated commissioner and he really puts a lot of time, thought and effort into making the league a fun, competitive and fair experience for all owners. Jeff does a great job as vice-commissioner and all the owners in the league are very friendly, knowledgeable and mature. The forums are active and several owners even post entertaining updates of their teams on a regular basis.

This league has an interesting lore and history. The fictional teams and players all have a well-established sense of identity and it really adds to the overall enjoyment of the league.

If you're looking for a good, solid league to call your OOTP home for many years to come, you couldn't do better than the KBL.

I'm a owner in the KBL and it has been the most enjoyable experience of mine in any OOTP league and one reason is because a team with a losing record can get to the championship the next year. Kassala and Ghana were both sub 500 teams in 1002 and now are facing off for the championship in 03'. Also the 1002 KBL Champion Watumbata was the worst team in 1001 so don't be scared off by a 62-82 record. So Join KBL for a great OOTP experience!

chrisj's Kassala Bushbucks!

The Bushbucks bested TexasLonghorns' Ghana Eagles in a thrilling 6 game championship series. Games 3-5 were all decided by one run and after Ghana came back and scored 8 runs in 2 innings to tie up Kassala in game 6, the Bushbucks scored 3 in the 10th inning to take it. 1003 were great years for both teams as they both upset some very good teams to get to where they ended up. Congratulations guys.

We'll be proceeding to 1004 soon. If you'd like to take over one of the open teams, please see the link in the first post of this thread. OOTP oldtimers and newcomers are both welcome.

We'll be proceeding to the 1004 season in the next couple of days, so now would be an excellent time to join us.

If you are looking for a good, solid league, you won't regret joining the KBL. I have been involved in quite a few leagues over the years and the KBL is one of the best OOTP experiences I've ever had. Great commissioner, excellent owners, well-established fictional universe and players, and an active website all add up to plenty of OOTP enjoyment.

The amateur draft has just started and free agency starts on Sunday. Neither Sahara nor Swahili have picked yet; so, there's still time to take full control of a team.

The Sundiata Bisons have opened up. Last year they won the Kurru wild card in a one-game playoff. Their top 5 batters are returning and with some better use of their pitching staff they have a decent chance at making it to the playoffs again this year. Last year they were 3rd of 24 teams in runs scored, but 24th in runs allowed. Their minor league system is ranked 8th. They draft 17th and FA starts Sunday.

Just giving this thread a well-deserved bump. This is a fantastic league with the most dedicated commish I have ever seen. Don't miss out on a chance to pick up a team, even it is a rebuilding project.
