Who is still playing 5?

Just curious, I want to finish at least two seasons of my dynasty in 5 before making the jump. About 1/4 through the first season now.

My league still uses it and will for a long time I'm sure. We have 24 teams and I think 21 of them have OOTP5. Screw OOTP6, 5 is just fine. Maybe we'll wait until OOTP7 comes out, since they like to relase a new version what seems like every 8 months anyways.

I'm waiting for another OOTP6 patch or two before I start a new solo league. I just can't stomach the roster management quirks right now to bother with following a new one just yet. None of my online leagues have converted either, so other than the first few days, I haven't touched OOTP6.

I'm using it still. I don't have 6 yet, but I'm still playing OOTP5 more than I ever have.

I think you can post the same topic in the OOTP6 forum then we can all double post.

I still play v5 because ViaTech is glacier-slow about sending out the CD.

The more I read about v6, the more I think that I will be playing v5 for a while even after I get the v6 CD.

Heck, I still play STB2k3 sometimes because it runs so much faster than v5 on my old, raggedy computer.

I use 5. In fact, unless they change the CSV in traditional engine back to the old ratings, 5 is the last one I will buy.

Hell, V5 still feels like a new game to me...don't play as much as I'd like...so I'll stick with it for awhile.

I just finished up my solo fictional league's third year using OOTP5.

I will import it into OOTP6 and see what happens. I'm looking forward to the new DIPS system.

I'm also working on a solo alltime allstar league for OOTP6 and will begin it as soon as I finish the rosters...done 8 of 20 teams so far.

After the rosters I will have to create a schedule manually, which will take a long week to do. (Hope LeGrandOrange will help me import an already made schedule, so I won't have to manually do it).

I dread OOTP6 because I'm fanatical about ratings being accurate and I don't know what the new ratings numbers mean. I'm using the OOTP5 Engine to adjust ratings. I just hope they convert correctly when I use the OOTP6 Engine. I suppose I will have to learn by trial and error.

five is alive

I'm still running OOTP5. Tried 6 and it had so many problems and bugs that I just gave up, got my money back, and returned to 5. The game works fine for me.

I'm only using 5 for my online league. I've just started my first "real" league in 6 after playing around with a few test leagues. There are still some issues in v6 (depth chart AI, very low draft talent vs v5 to name a couple) but no real gamebreakers for me.

I've given up on OOTP6 because some issues with the graphics are just too frustrating.
