How long after ordering are we supposed ot get an e-mail confirming the order? I haven't gotten one yet.

I also pre-ordered on the first day available, now about 10 days or so, and nothing appears on my credit card and no confirmation. How do we make sure we really have pre-ordered? This is another example of why I hate via-tech.

If you have not received a confirmation e-mail, I strongly suggest you contact viatech [http://www.elicense.com/contact.asp]. I got my confirmation e-mail within minutes of ordering.

They are sent out automatically BUT if you gave one of the "free" emails like Yahoo, hotmail, etc there is a good chance that the the spam filter snagged it or you "box is full", etc......

It is possible you plugged in the wrong e-mail address as well.

I used my isp e-mail address (optonline.net), and haven't received an e-mail confirmation (almost 24 hours). I did get an order # on the screen (and a download button that didn't do anything..yet), but didn't print it since I expected it to come via e-mail anyway.

I do not have a spam filter on the account (that I'm aware of).

Only two possibilities that I'm aware of:

-spam filter
-wrong email addy given

In "most" cases it is one of these.

E-mail came with the confirmation about 2 minutes after I posted that (still, 20+ hours after I ordered).

Yeah, they sent the mail for me again and it's here this time. They give you a copy of the receipt and your order confirmation(which you get on your screen once you've made your order)

I was quite happy with ootp4 and then i bought 5. It was a huge update. And 6 seems to also be a huge update. So after avoiding the issue in my mind i finally couldn't take it anymore and preorderd.
