Played solidly for about two weeks, now I don't bother. Keep looking here to see if there's any updates to bring my interest back, but sorry to say it got boring!

And the point you were trying to accomplish with this post was what...to bash Markus and OOTP Developments?

I'll have to go back and reread everyones posts but I don't think anyone here bashed the developers OR the company. I know I certainly didn't in mine. I don't see how paying $20 for a game, playing the heck out of it for 3 weeks and then putting it aside then reporting on that fact is a bash. People are simply stating that they've stopped playing the game. I, for one, come back to read through the posts and see if there are any interesting mods and updates and to just read some dynasty threads, darn near everyday.

I hold this company in highest regards, I think they put out some might fine stuff and will continue to support them. Mindless bashing is not needed but constructive criticism never hurt anyone. Ask those American Idol contestants.

I got $20 worth over Xmas, but since then I haven't played it. Great idea, and a good start, but I think it will take 2 or 3 iterations to become a classic like OOTP.

No, I think the point was asking who bought the game but isn't playing any more ... but I could be wrong!

P.S. I'm not still playing the game, since I didn't purchase it in the first place! The idea behind ITP didn't seem to be all that interesting to me. And judging from what quite a few people have said, they've lost interest already. So I am glad I $aved my moolah in this case!

God forbid someone ask a question or give an opinion that may not be favorable about the game. Some people like the game and others do not and it is their choice. I personally did not like the game and returned it after a couple of days. It was fun for a day or so and then I lost interest. As for OOTP, I am still playing that everyday and I purchased it when it came out. However, by stating my opinion I do not feel I am bashing OOTP Developments or Markus in anyway. I have the utmost respect for the company and will continue to support them. If I don't like some of the products they put out, then it is my opinion and I can state that. As far as ITP 2, when that comes out I will give it a shot and see if it peaks my interest more than ITP 1. Freedom of speech, it is a wonderful thing.

Ditto. I loved the heck out of that game when I was playing it, and it was 100% worth my $20. It's just that now I am eagerly awaiting ITP2, while I get back into OOTP (in order to juice up for OOTP6's release) instead of still playing ITP. I liked it, it's a solid game, wouldn't be surprised if I got into it again, but for now, it's 2nd to OOTP...again.

I stopped playing around the time I came down with Optic Neuritis. It was a strain on my right eye to sit in front of the monitor and read, let alone play computer games.

I'm sure I'll get back to playing it again, soon.

The point of this post was to see if other people had stopped playing it for the same reason I had. I thought maybe I was missing something or maybe there was someway to add more interactivity.

If you would have even bothered to read my post...I said I would play it again as soon as a new patch is released...I never dogged anyone or anything. Which basically makes you look like a complete fool right now.

I didn't see Queensryche's post as a bash, at all. Just a question.

Add another one to the list. The first week or two I played fairly regularly...but one day I just stoped playing. I had to many nitpicks with it, not enough depth. Hope the patches or ITP2 is vastly improved otherwise I probably won't buy it. Its a shame too cause I was anticipating this game for a long time, oh well.

You know what I find extremely intersting is that everyone seems to have at some point just stopped playing. I played a lot the first week, but since then I've gotten addicted to OOTP again. I really think the depth of ITP needs to be looked at in order to keep its customers attracted. When I think about making a new pitcher, I think about the trouble it'll be to get a good workout plan, having to deal with relatively slow simulation during and inbetween seasons, etc. These are really just nit picking issues, but it's something that does affect my attraction to a game.

Like alot of you I played heavily the first couple of weeks but now I rarely play it. I have high hopes for patches that will add to the depth of the game. Unless you really like stats, there's not much to hold your interest after a few careers.

I have posted a few negative posts around here about this game because quite frankly, it deserves it....but I also posted suggestions on how I think the game could be improved...mind you, they are only my opinions, but there is potential for this game, it's just not there for me yet........

posts like this are great. It sets goals and standards for the developers and for future versions and/or patches for the game. I play it sometimes, but I'm busy right now. I don't have much time to play it. Calling this a bash post is simply idiotic and never should've been suggested in the first place. If Markus has seen this thread, I hope (and am sure) he is taking note of this. Even if people have stopped playing for now, some interest will be drawn back by the release of the second (bug free) patch.

I'm still playing, but only for a few more days. I've been waiting for a new patch for over 3 weeks now and they still haven't told us when they'll get one out. It really does get old...that is why I've tried everything to make it interesting. If a new patch is released, or announced at least, I may still keep playing.

I stopped playing like almost the day i got it.. i've seen text based games in the early 90s with more features than this game..

atleast if he made it text it would had ran better on the computer... instead of being a slow featureless drinking game..

hell there is more features on that "russian roullete" internet flash site game..
and its just as fun, well for an hour or two..

game is totally ******ed.. it kinda reminds me of the old racing car games where u upgrade the engine,, except those games made sense, cause u actually do those things in real life.. u upgrade tires, n engines n change car color scheme..

but baseball players DO NOT Spend millions on books, and millions on bats and millions on shoes...

they wear the same shoes, and play with the same stuff we can all play with..

they spend their money on girls, houses, cars, vacation trips etc..
this game is so severly flawed its pathetic..

its just so totally off i cant even get into it... there is no media in it, there is really no fans in it, that we'd have to interact with etc..

like decididng how many hours we want to sign autographs at the end of the game for, ... the only thing useful in this game is the gym, the gym makes sense, if u sign autographs for too many hours your popularity shoudl go up, but you end up spending less time at the gym, and performance goes down.. thats how the what kinda player you are should be judged on... selfish/non-selfish etc... not on some stupid option u select at the beggining of the game..

also with the media, the more money u spend on going out and cars etc,, the media should look at you in a more negative light etc...

but on the other hand thats how u would meet girls, and buy stuff for yourself to have your MORAL rating go up...

IT SHOULD BE A GAME WHERE THE DECISIONS WE MAKE IN THE GAME AFFECT How we're perceived, either selfish like barry bonds, or a team player like Cal RIpken or something, or a big party monkey like david wells or whatever...

and different things can get u traded, like low fan support, media support blah blah blah...

that would be a game not this crap lol
