Anyone stopped playing?
I haven't played the game now in a couple of weeks. There is just nothing to do in the game. With OOTP5 there is always something to interact with...in ITP...there is nothing to do except sim and drink.
Anyone else stopped playing? |

I played non-stop the first week, have rarely played since.
But I do feel I got my 20 bucks worth. Hoping ITP2 is made and has more depth

I played non-stop for the first two weeks and have since tapered off to every now and then. I'm waiting for the next patch to see what changes are made.

I, too, played it a lot the first week or two. I don't play at all anymore. It just didn't hold my attention. As many others have already said, there's not enough to do.

Same here. Just no longer intresting. It just doesn't have any replay value. Also, my players have a bad habit of dropping like stones at about age 35... they shouldn't drop that quickly.

Glad to see I'm not alone. I await patches to add some interactivity...then I'm sure I'll start up a new Career. Till then though....

I'm still playing
Well, I have to admit that I'm still playing the game. I found that ITP is a wonderful game. I just love stats!! I like to see how I can tinker with my workouts to get the most out of my players. I just finished a career where I ended up as the all-time hits leader and rank near the top in numerous other categories.

It was truly a remarkable career. I really would like for you guys to give this game a second chance. I thoroughly enjoy playing it!! Sure, there are ways to improve it, but this is the first in this series. |

I stopped playing pretty quickly too. As has been said, OOTP games have endless playability. I just haven't found that in the ITP. It just doesn't hook me.

I had almost stopped, then I started doing a dynasty thread. Taking the happenings in the game and making it a fictional story makes it a little more interesting.

Well i definetly think it was worth 20 bucks. Sure it wasnt vastly interactive but i thought it was a good effort for being a first. I have pretty much stopped playing as well, hoping for more interactivity.

I have pretty much stopped playing, but like others, I feel like I got my money's worth. I would like to see ITP incorporated into OOTP, or sold as a sort of add-on to it. Otherwise, it will need to add lots and lots of interesting options to hold my interest.
I kind of feel like it's too predictable. You get your ratings up to potential, and then I feel like there's not so much to do.

I stopped playing weeks ago...it's a boring game with not enough player involvement.......

Yeah, I've stopped playing as well. It stemmed from me just getting frustrated not being able to develop a player past their potential and really never getting a guy to have even a half way decent major league career. I could get guys to be superstud 4.5 prospect but never once did they pan out in the majors. I tend to think it's more me because I read all the time of players doing well so I must not be that good at what's needed. But my problem with that is I don't know where to improve my playing skills. There is no help or guidance in the game at all on any level and that's the most frustrating part to me. I'll buy ITP2 though, without a doubt.

Hmm, this seems to confirm my initial reaction to the ITP idea- interesting in theory, but not in execution. Some things are good ideas only as long as they remain just ideas.
But perhaps by ITP5, I will have been proven wrong, though I don't see a game like ITP having potential for 4 more incarnations. |

Echo the same. Played non-stop, then tired of it lately. Back into OOTP in fact (I had taken a break for 2 weeks, then 3 of ITP, now back on OOTP).
I think it just needs a little more. I await ITP 2

I still play the same amount I played when it came out. Now, I don't seem to play alot. It takes a week for me to get through a career so maybe I'm not burned out on it. I still think I have a good amount of things to do.
Great game.

I played it constantly for about 3 weeks. Since then though I've barely touched it. It was worth the $20 but frankly I will admit to being disappointed that there wasn't a little more depth to the whole thing.

If you do a dynsasty report and really take a look at your player's story it becomes a lot more fun.
