San Francisco goes 72–48, winning the West by 5.5 games over the Hill Country Skyhawks, who lose a tiebreaker and finish 63–58.
In the East, Boston, Washington, and Brooklyn all make the playoffs. The Boston Bees go 81–39, the best record in AL history. The Washington Grays take the top wildcard at 67–53. Brooklyn beats Hill Country in the tiebreaker to secure the final spot at 66–54. Boston and San Francisco are clearly the two best teams, and it sets up what looks like a great ALCS. Both prove it early, sweeping their wildcard series 4–0. In the final, Boston shows the gap. They sweep San Francisco 4–0 and go a perfect 8–0 through the playoffs. The Boston Bees take the East at 68–52, while the Los Angeles Angels win the West at 69–51.
The Washington Grays earn the top wildcard at 67–53, and the Miami Gators grab the final spot at 62–58 in their first playoff appearance. Miami puts up a fight, taking Los Angeles to 6 games, but fall 4–2. Washington pushes Boston to a Game 7, but the Bees hold on and take it 4–3. That sets up Boston vs Los Angeles in the ALCS. It goes all the way to Game 7, where Boston comes out on top to win their third title. Bracket Champion: Boston Bees (3) Table Champion: Los Angeles Angels |

The Boston Bees dominate the East, finishing as table champions with a massive 80–40 record. Out West, the San Francisco Seals reclaim the division title, though the race is much tighter at 66–54.
The wildcard spots are claimed by two perennial contenders: the Washington Grays (67–53) secure the top seed, while the Los Angeles Angels (64–56) grab the final spot. The opening round provides plenty of drama. Los Angeles pushes the top-seeded Bees to the brink, but Boston manages to pull out a Game 7 victory to advance. On the other side, San Francisco handles Washington 4–2. The loss is a tough one for the Grays, who have remarkably finished as the 3rd seed every year since 2003, with that 2003 campaign remaining their only series win in that span. This sets up a heavyweight ALCS rematch between Boston and San Francisco, their second meeting in the finals in three years. The Seals find their revenge for the 2004 sweep, taking the series 4–2. With the win, San Francisco breaks the tie with Boston to become the first franchise with three titles. Bracket Champion: San Francisco Seals (3) Table Champion: Boston Bees (2) |

The East and West remain under the thumb of two titans. For the second year in a row, the Boston Bees finish as the undisputed table champions with a staggering 80–40 record. Out West, the San Francisco Seals maintain their grip on the division, but only after beating the Skyhawks in a tiebreaker game, finishing 69–52. The wildcard race sees the return of a former champion, as the Hill Country Skyhawks (68–53) secure a spot alongside the Washington Grays (70–50), who once again claim the top wildcard seed.
In the opening round, Boston holds off Hill Country to advance 4–2. Meanwhile, San Francisco handles Washington with ease in a 4–1 series victory. The Grays have now finished as the 3rd seed in five consecutive seasons, yet they haven't seen a series win since their 2003 run. This sets the stage for a massive ALCS trilogy with the third meeting between Boston and San Francisco in the finals over the last four years. With the series tied 1–1 following the Seals' victory last year, the rubber match was all San Francisco. The Seals run over the Bees 4–1 to secure the title. Despite posting back-to-back 80-win seasons, Boston heads home empty-handed again, while San Francisco cements their dynasty with a fourth championship in six years and there second back-to-back set. The hierarchy of the East finally shifts as the Washington Grays (63–57) claim the division title, ending the long-standing reign of the Boston Bees. Out West, the San Francisco Seals remain a juggernaut, finishing as table champions with a dominant 75–45 record.
The wildcard race is incredibly high-powered, with the Hill Country Skyhawks (73–47) and Los Angeles Angels (70–50) both outpacing the Grays. The opening round delivers the shock of the decade. Los Angeles battles the two-time defending champion Seals in a grueling seven-game set, ultimately upsetting San Francisco in Game 7 and denying them a historic three-peat. Meanwhile, Washington capitalizes on their home-field advantage to keep Hill Country out of the ALCS, winning their series 4–2. For the Grays, the narrative has finally changed: after years of wildcard heartbreak, they win the division and secure their first trip to the finals since 2003. However, the Angels refuse to let the underdog story continue. Carrying the momentum from their upset over the Seals, Los Angeles stays hot in the ALCS, handling Washington 4–1. The Angels secure their first championship since the league’s inception, proving that a hot wildcard team can take down even the most established dynasties. The dynasty forums are great because we get players like you who like to move quickly from season to season, and then players like me who play out every single game and write them up, progressing slowly thorough each season ... so many great ways to play, I love it!

Yeah I love seeing the way dynasties progress over the courses of years and the storylines that naturally develop between teams playing against each other often in big seasons. Like the Boston v San Francisco rivalry that has transpired in the last few years of this sim. I love a lot of big plans for developments of teams and leagues. By 2015, where I am currently stopped, there is already 3 major leagues and a whole suite of international tournaments. I am actively planning out the expansion paths. The expansion teams are going to be chosen based on how well nations do at the international tournaments, just like how all the current new teams and leagues were picked, but I still need to write up and post all that.

World Baseball Classic
Introducing the World Baseball Classic.
The WBC begins play in Jan 1st 2003. The format is still very fluid until somethings are figured out. But for now, it is comprised of all national teams with at least 10 active players in the MLB. Those teams will compete in a triple round robin with each team in WBC. Then the top four teams in the group will enter a double elimination bracket with of Bo3 series. Additionally, for countries without main logos, if you make an appearance in the WBC you get the "honor" of getting actual logos instead of the flag. If the game already had logos for the nation, I just used those already instead of making them wait. For some countries I could only find one logo, so I took some liberties at times. That is 9 national teams in 2006. The same 10 player requirement is in place and the format is still triple round round > top 4 advance to double elim bracket.
The countries competing are: Brazil China India Indonesia Japan Pakistan Philippines Russia USA The pool play finished as follows: x - China 22-2 x - India 21-3 x - Indonesia 15-9 x - USA 15-9 Pakistan 12-12 Japan 10-14 Russia 6-18 Philippines 5-19 Brazil 2-22 China beats USA 2-1 and India beats Indonesia 2-0 to keep the top two teams afloat. USA would sweep Indonesia to end their story at 4th place. And after China sweeps India the USA and India get their battle for a spot in the WBC final vs China. They split Games 1 and 2, but India secured Game 3 and a date with China. China vs India, a rematch from 3 years when India took the title. China sweeps India 2-0 and takes their first ever WBC title. They and India have finished 1-2 in both WBC's now. WBC Champion: China WBC Runner-up: India WBC 3rd: USA WBC 4th: Indonesia With this win, China moves from a Fair to Average baseball quality. Last edited by jlangjr; 03-19-2026 at 01:59 PM. |

The biggest news is how the WBC now affects a nation's baseball quality. I am using this chart. For Fair and Average, you just need to complete one of the 4 benchmarks. For Good you need to complete 7/9 benchmarks for Fair, Average & Good, with at least one being one of the Good benchmarks. WBC means, WBC titles, F4 means WBC final 4 appearances, APPS means WBC appearances, CUPS means any non-WBC tournament, of which many are coming. These can change and will change as the world grows, but for now they are meant to stimulate growth, while not allowing a nation to grow to powerful.
WBC F4 APPS CUPS POOR 0 0 0 0 FAIR 0 1 3 1 AVERAGE 1 3 10 5 GOOD 3 10 n/a n/a EXCELLENT 5 15 n/a n/a There is one new team, Great Britain, who is actually just the England team, since Scotland and Wales have their own teams. The format stays the same, with just one more team. The pool play is rather boring as #1 India, #2 USA, #3 China, #4 Indonesia finish as the top 4 seeds and make it to the bracket. In the bracket, India swept Indonesia 2-0 and USA best China 2-1 in the quarterfinals. In the losers' quarterfinals, Indonesia bests China to defeat them 2-1. In the semifinals, India and USA go to game 3, but India prevails. The same story happens again in the losers bracket but this time they beat Indonesia 2-1 to get a rematch with India in the WBC finals. India would go on to sweep 2-0. WBC Champion: India WBC Runner-up: USA WBC 3rd: Indonesia WBC 4th: China By making the F4, Indonesia and the USA now have 3 F4 appearances and move from Fair to Average Baseball Quality. By competing in 3 WBCs Russia, Japan, Pakistan, Philippines and Brazil move from Poor to Fair Baseball Quality. Last edited by jlangjr; 03-19-2026 at 01:59 PM. |

Phoenix finishes the regular season as west division champs and table champions with a 71–49 record, securing their table trophy. In the East, the Chicago Blue Collars (70–50) finally break through to claim their first division crown and their first playoff appearance in franchise history. Meanwhile, a major era ends as the Washington Grays miss the postseason for the first time since 2001—only the second time they’ve missed October in league history.
Both wildcard spots come from the West this year. The Hill Country Skyhawks (68–52) take the top wildcard, followed by the Seattle Aquasox (64–56). The appearance marks the first time Seattle has made the bracket in the AL. In the semifinals, Phoenix leveraged their higher seed advantage to handle Seattle 4–2. On the other side, the Blue Collars dispatched the Skyhawks 4–2 to set up a heavyweight battle for the bracket title. The ALCS went the distance as Chicago and Phoenix battled in a classic seven-game set. In the end, Phoenix took Game 7 at home to win their first bracket title. By sweeping both championships, the Serpientes take home the "Double" for the 2009 season. Bracket Champion: Phoenix Serpientes Table Champion: Phoenix Serpientes (2) |

Inspired by the glamour and global reach of Bollywood, the Directors bring a cinematic flair to the diamond. Their primary logo features a golden "Oscar-style" silhouette, representing the city’s status as a hub of entertainment and prestige. They defend their home turf at the historic Wankhede Stadium, looking to bring the same drama to the BFA that they provide on the silver screen.
