OOTP 27 has been officially launched

If you pre-ordered and played the beta version, you can use the same license key as before if asked for it. For anyone who purchased from our store either pre-order or after, you can download the release version of the game with the links below. We fixed a couple items since the last version, so the new version is 27.1.41. We will include those details in the next post.

Team registration will open in a couple minutes, and you can start creating your teams. Entry Pool seeding and simulations will start shortly. Once the entry pool begins, you will be able to join tournaments, and complete the missions.

We have a few items we have already noted and are working towards fixing, which will be listed below.

The updates that we have done since the last public beta:
-Fixed misc crash reported
-Fixed player popup position on bottom of screens
-Fixed some wonky throws
-Fixed historical exhibition crash


We are still investigating some issues, and we get these as soon as we can into a patch:
-Black screen when setting game to fullscreen on some version of MacOS. This is a bug in an external library we use. We have alerted the maker and are waiting for their fix.
-Some flickering in-game on Macs. Same as with the full screen bug, this is an issue with an external library we are waiting on.
-Some parks (especially construction kit ones) have obstructed camera views.
-In the roster set, there are a few lower level minor league players who load as free agents rather than with their teams (Ocean Gabonia for instance). This is partly because of how we set things up to avoid having too many releases and roster confusion early on, so not a quick fix.
-The AI seems a little too prone to sometimes releasing players that it doesn't have a use for, but who still have money left on their deals.
-Rosters for all leagues, but especially KBO, Honkbal, British NBL and US Partner Leagues are still works in progress and may be outdated as we progress toward opening day in each league. We will regularly release updates.
-Some historical and modded uniforms do not correctly autoload
-There's a crash bug if you are trying to use photos instead of facegens. For now, if you want to use the player photos option instead of using facegens for players, you should disable facegen.
-There's an issue in the default rosters where the MLB Partner Leagues only generate 2 game schedules.
-We will continue to monitors the forums for any other reported issues.

Some notes about the PT Launch:
-Until you are placed into an entry pool, you will not have access to missions or tournaments. Once you are seeded, you will have access.
-To open your pre-order bonus Icon pack, you will need to open all your starter packs first. At that point, you will need to open the rest of your available packs, and then the link to open the icon pack will be available from the top menu option. If you have already been seeded to an entry pool, you will be able to open the icon as normal choice pack
-In the choice pack screen, the hover menu might appear off the screen. You can right click to open their profile to view their ratings for making your selection
-In the missions, you will see Artifact: xxx where you actually earn a profile page sticker. This applies to the Live Level 1 Complete, Live Level 2 Complete, and the Historical Missions complete missions

The MacOS download links install version 1.40 I believe. I have redownloaded it a couple of times and cleared out the download from yesterday.

Running into the same issue

You should be sure to clear out your old downloads. You could also try uninstalling your old game and reinstalling with the new download. Keep in mind if you had old installers, the newest one might show up as OOTPBaseball27Installer 2.dmg for example in your download folder.

I did. I uninstalled 1.40. There is no trace of it having ever been on my laptop

I can't access Perfect Team, pc version. It says my OOTP client is not up to date, please install the latest version.

The regular OOTP game is working fine. Do I need to download a different updated version or do something else?

You need to update to the version released above in this thread to access PT.

Hmm, didn't get an email from Fastspring either for the Beta or the release, so I totally forgot about the release. No biggie, I saw it somewhere else just now, but if you get numerous reports you might check with them.

If you have opted out in the past from our newsletter, you may not have received it. Also it may end up in your spam folder, or even filtered by your mail provider. It's always best to follow us on the forums or on social media for announces.

I have deleted previous download links and even watched the file update as it downloads and then open it. I have tried removing the previous version of the application prior to download and that has not changed anything

Two players I signed as free agents have their correct uniforms when you look at the team page, but during 3D game play they still wear the uniforms
of their old team. In 26 they have the correct uniform.

The 3D animations in 27 look worse than in 26. The flight of the ball just doesn't look correct, and throws to fielders disappear before entering the glove.
