OOTP 27 Patch: 27.1.52

We're officially releasing the next patch, 27.1.52. We'll turn to looking at some longer term issues next, and probably start adding in a few more nice little quality of life updates going forward.

• Roster updates
• Historical db updates
• More DFA/release balance
• Fixed some crashes related to facegen
• Fixed facegen not updating in some cases
• Adjusted general ball landing spots/fielders for balance (mostly more GB to SS, balance OF ratios)
• Historical: Adjusted SB auto-calc balance
• Historical: Reduced pitcher babip splits on import
• Historical: Fixed 2021 and 2025 historical minors not loading
• Fixed crash reimporting world database
• Fixed some manager histories not loading
• Updated early eras P/PA slightly, adjusted stamina
• Added button to hide icon bar
• PT: Updated header
• PT: Fixed variants booster cards not displaying on booster page
• PT: Added delete local rosters button
• PT: Sortable Stats page will change the player list to all players
• PT: Card shop in tournaments will show all usable positions with their full training

Important info for online leagues: This version is compatible with other builds.

Update Info for our webstore customers: To apply the update, simply download the setup file and install it over your current installation. There is no need to uninstall or unlicense your current copy! However, you should quit the game before attempting to install the update. Please note that you may need to delete or unload previous installers of the game after download. Please be sure that after updating you see the correct version of your game. For Steam users, your game should update automatically when launched.

Here's a PC installer (Fastspring) that installs into a single folder, which is useful for external HDs for example. Or for creating a second test install of the game, so you can try the patch out without the risk of messing up your main install of the game if something is wrong in the patch:

Thanks so much guys! I have a beginner question - when I open OOTP it asks me to navigate to Steam to download the update, but I can't seem to find where to install the update in my Steam library?

Are any of the changes in this patch that seemed to stabilize the roster AI going to make their way to the final patch of OOTP 26 that is currently still in "beta"? I bought 26 last year but still haven't played it because I didn't want the roster management issues to mess up my league that I've been playing for years (I've bought every version since OOTP5). I'd like to be able to play 26 before moving on to purchase 27, but I want to make sure 26 is as patched as it's going to be before I import my league from 25.

So I was hoping you could either release the current 26 beta as final, or let us know if the AI tweaks you did for 27.1.52 could be backported into the final 26 beta patch before making it final.

Does the BIZ distribution / bullet point 6 also effect PT or is it just base game at this time?

For now they are not in PT. The team will evaluate if a server update is needed or wanted to update those environments.

Where is the button to hide the icon bar located? In Settings, all I can see are the options to move it around.

It's the double arrow "button" right next to the menu bar itself.

You can barely see it in the classic skin, but it's there.

I see it now, especially when I switched to either the dark and light skins.

Interestingly, that 'button' only shows up when the icon bar is docked on the right-hand side. I cannot see it when the bar is on the left or along the bottom.

Wow, that's damn near impossible to see on that skin, a bit of Where's Waldo going on.

I play with real player photos loaded, load photos first selected in options and play out each game. After this patch facegen pictures are showing when you go into each new game. This wasn't happening in previous builds. I have go out of the game and into each player individually and auto-reload picture for each team. This fixes it but once you go into the next days game it happens all over again

Matt - Obviously, thanks, fantastic release. Is my request to put a 'advance day' button on the icon bar again absurd? You guys are doing other cool things with it, I don't think I'm alone here (I don't think..)

Great Patch! was wondering if its in the cards to fix some of the small QOL bugs? like The A's not showing up in the History Index and and some mangers having their win lost records but the team they managed not showing up
