Advanced Stats Cheat Sheet!
https://mega.nz/file/E7w3SRTY#_A1c9Y...BSSBVdFNuw_aY4
One of my favorite new features in OOTP 27 is the introduction of advanced stats. It gives me such a deeper looking into my players performances, and I find myself just spending so much time analyzing every player on my roster. It really lets you get a much bigger view of the players overall performance. However, I know how overwhelming it can be for new players, so I've uploaded this handy little cheat sheet with an explanation of all the advanced stats and what they mean. If you're a beginner to baseball, or just a beginner to advanced stats, I hope this can help you learn and evaluate your players better! |

That is really well put together, thanks for sharing.
Just want to add, the 10 second hitter and pitcher test. The last para in these windows, the text runs out the bottom of the window and is partially hidden under the header for the window below it. Last edited by Bluenoser; 03-11-2026 at 07:15 PM. |

I grew up watching baseball in the late 60's and on. I've picked up on a lot of the new advanced stats but not all of them. This sheet is so well done. Chock-full of easy to understand information in small package. Thanks for sharing.

Mate!!! This is such a gift. Thanks you. Absolute gold for a guy like me who is only just coming around to understanding baseball and the original stats. I was stressing my learning curve was going to be indefinitely extended trying come to grips with the advanced stats.
A tip of my hat to you kind Sir! |

Good stuff! I'm always happy to see a fellow disciple of K%-BB%.
One thing that should maybe be made clear is what a "plus pitch" is. I had seen it mentioned plenty of times before, but I never really knew what it meant for sure until recently. It's simply an "above average pitch" or a 60+ pitch (on the 20-80 scale). I'm still holding out hope that we'll see xFIP one day.

Doing the Lord's work here, my friend. Was looking for definitions for these last night, this is great. Thank you!
Would be nice if you were given a definition when hovering over metric in game. |

Just piling on, but thank you, this is great. Love the addition to the game and even though I like analytics there were items I was not familiar with.

Excellent worksheet! Thanks!
For those wanting a bit more depth into each of those categories, but not written for statisticians, I highly recommend A Fan's Guide to Baseball Analytics. Its like something out of the "for Dummies" series of books but also has some good humor so its a decent read. |

Advanced stats only available for the base game and not Perfect Team?
