Historical season is very messed up: I set up a season in 2019 to "get rid of covid" and the 2019 season was fine.


then got into the draft in the offseason. All pitchers in the first round, players like Evan carter, Spencer torkelson, and other position players all were just 1 1/2 stars potential. meanwhile after a couple 4 star potential in Crochet and strider, a deep fall-off in pitching


all the players that i traded in the offseason immediately got released by both teams as soon as they were traded



Then the 2020 season came around and the Minor leagues got erased and replaced with the reserve roster. I think there should be a way to disable that if there is its difficult to disable it


then the 2020 season ends, in the offseason, havent done anything and I check to see if the Minor leagues has came back, and there is nothing but the FCL minors which is below rookie ball. even no reserve roster

I dug into those players for those years and saw some db data that may need to be reloaded. It's beyond me given the number of players but I detailed what I thought might be causing it for Lukas to look at.

But the 60 HR thing needs more context for me to know when and where to look. Thanks

the 60 homer thing is a bit confusing to me, i think its players like, Tatis and Yordan Alvarez, who have really good power potential, and in 2019, they had normal home run totals, then as soon as it hit 2020, they were hitting 60+, and lots of other players had juiced numbers too. Maybe its becuase it switched to a different era with different league wide power ratings?

Im in my 90's save, and I see that the brewers abbreiviation is ML4 instead of MIL, assume this is becuase they are in the AL at this time, but it kind of is annoying and throws me off. Is there any way for you to make it MIL instead of ML4

I think it would start to break internal game connections between the various .csv files inside the odb & the Teams.csv (were you to edit the Teams/csv). It's been suggested before.

The trick would be to keep all those connections untouched in the programming and csv files but also have a "to-display" column in Teams.csv. They did this for parks a while back iirc so instead of "Fenway Park 1961-1986", things like news articles say "Fenway Park".

BBRef shows 30 games for the Pirates Gulf Coast League affiliate and 2 games for the Braves Gulf Coast League affiliate. OOTP shows 33 games with the Pirates affiliate. The Braves affiliate is listed with games played blank.

He signed with the Pirates. There is no record of a trade to the Braves. His minor league teams in 1977 are Pirate affiliates.

It is very peculiar. Perhaps another Tony Pena play for the Atlanta Gulf Coast affiliate? I can't imagine loaning a player for a few games.

Just a couple more from my '82 import that I found with fake pitching stats, and 1 mixed with another player.

Guy Sularz (sularz001guy) - '74 minor league pitching record is accurate but has '75-'84 stats not listed on BB-Ref.
Terry Harper (harper001ter) - '73-'75 and A-ball '76 are accurate but has '76 (Gulf Coast) through '84 stats not listed on BB-Ref.
Dave Stenhouse (stenho002dav) - career minor league catcher in the Blue Jays organization has the Major League pitcher's "Historical Minor League ID" and the major league Dave Stenhouse's (from the 60s) pitching stats
Jerry Johnson (johnso010jer) - imports with pitching stats before he became a pitcher '75-'78
Larry Cox (cox---002lar) - '67-'69 accurate but '66,'70-'82 fake
Daniel Gilmartin (gilmar001dan) - '78-80 fake
Vinnie Soreca (soreca001vin) - '81 stats fake

The fake pitching lines are especially problematic because they are in minor leaguers AND MLB'ers. Even as I do audits (like on-going city of birth fixes, year of birth fixes, height, weight, etc.) I generally limit myself to AL/NL and NeL.

There is a pattern to those P lines though and they are obvious once you start looking for them. We are getting to the point (once I have some other projects behind me), that I could take the MiLB and its huge csv, resort by Historic Minors ID then year, take a certain number of rows at a time and let the AI tell me who looks suspect based on the repetitive pattern of those lines and then I save the search time and only burn my OOTP help time with targeted deletions to identified lines.

For now, they generally don't cause to much harm hence it is a project. But every but helps on a db as massive as this one is.

Fixed. Some fake MiLB C lines and 3B lines in there too. Just weird. As for the one of higher importance, the Stenhouses - it looks like the ID confusion and stats got fixed in January 2023. Is this a sim that started on an older version of OOTP that has been carried forward?

No, I started this one with the new patch - 5.66

Edit to add: Checking a couple of older leagues built years ago in OOTP 18 to 22, the Stenhouses imported fine with the catcher coming in with the historical ID of "stenho001dav".

Looks like the IDs were untangled in 2023 but the stats of the younger C didn't follow to the new record. Stats are now attached to the correct ID.
