Either way, I'd love to see the awkward team initials like ML1 and NY1 be replaced with the initialisms generally used in media like Baseball-Reference. NY1? No, NYG! SLA? No, SLB! etc. AT LEAST for 20th-century teams. I know this would require adjusting the initials in the player history files, but if it could be done without much difficulty, I'd LOVE this.
