Incomplete Stats - core mechanic broken

Hi,
i have highlighted this but to no avail. Hence another reminder & question to the Devs.
Do you plan to fix :
a) Incomplete historical Playoff Stats for Players
b) Games Started for all Players are ZERO for 2024 & 2025 seasons
c) [Potentially one-off /recent bug] - Live Game Stats do not work since a few days.

Again reminding the Dev Team that one of THE MAIN CORE FEATURES of a BASEBALL SIMULATION/MANAGER game are ACCURATE and COMPLETE STATS. If features like stat accuracy, roster management, player development and roster AI logic are broken you can not advertise it as a complete product. In that case it is a partially developed product that should have a reduced price tag.

I imagine they plan to fix this stuff, but they are pretty minor issues. They certainly do not cause any problems with the "core" of the game.

They also may not be in their control. All of this is data they must get from third party services and from what I can tell in the past those services have had their issues...particularly for the Live Start stuff. They generally get that process (Live Start) corrected as soon as possible.

Making hysterical posts aren't going to help your cause. It seems like you came to these forums with an agenda instead of to be part of a community for a great game. That is unfortunate. Good luck.

first of all replying to a post by using the choice of words like "hysterical", minor etc. is a clear illustration of emotional, opinion based [snipped]. Although you might try to sound reasonable it is exactly the opposite of what you try to accomplish. Noone sane posts here to [snipped] the game just because we like the game nor should we post to bash the Developers. They created a Subforum (after abandoning the Ticketing system) to track issues. Sane people understand dificulties of Game Development and especially working on a Live Service feature and what is most important...working with an understaffed team or limited budget. I am fledgling hobby Game Developer myself trying my hands in something i might never succeed in so trust me i know it ain`t easy. So please stop with the patronizing attitude and talking down on people. Additionally noone sane understands posts like yours because just defending something cuz you like a thing very much is childish. It is a nieche game people enjoy but i will reiterate - It is a simulation absed game where the core features are: AI, Roster Management and Statistics.The selling point is not Graphics nor fancy features. This Game knows what it is and the custoemers appreciate it for precisely those reasons. Again so you have the chance to understand: This issue is persisntent for for years and years. The parent company developing/producing a game is responsible for the content they receive from a third party stakeholder. Please think before posting. I am sharing this not because i don`t like the game or i want to show how "stupid" those Develoeprs are. On the contrary. I appreciate their work and the work of the community but nevertheless a CORE MECHANIC is incomplete/broken for years - hence it needs to be highlighted,

Yeah, this simply isn't the place it used to be that is for sure.

I'm not sure it is worth it for posters like me to stick around and try to help make it a true community of those who enjoy the game instead of just a place to vent and yell at the Devs.

While you were posting that rant the lead developer was literally responding to your thread in the support forum, which was within 24 hours of your posting it.

So, while I admittedly probably did not help the matter, your post was designed to get this kind of reaction so maybe don't try to turn it into a lecture about attitude. You set the tone of the discussion.

hope you are feeling better now. Thank You for proving my points. Now i get why you have thousands of posts. You chose a public forum that is precisely created for Feedback,Support & Discussions related to the game features for your personal opinions and to validate your...actually what are you trying to accomplish? nevermind, cuz that is none of my business. I assume noone is interested in reading stuff unrelated to THE ACTUAL GAME ISSUES (yes CAPSLCOCK again cuz i like it).

Okay, chill out everyone. I'm all for people trying to help improve the game, but let's not troll to accomplish that goal. And if someone does troll, please don't take the bait. Either ignore it, report it, or address it calmly by critiquing it point by point.

The stats in question do not affect gameplay and the GS are one of the stats that are not provided by the third party source that feeds the database. For example the GS for 2024 were manually downloaded from BBR and work done by the beta team to get them in a manner to be imported into the game. Now that you understand it is a manual process, do you expect Lukas to, everyday, adjust those stats for live game feeds? Of course not. They have no effect in-game and there are better things to do. When 2025 concludes, the same manual process of culling, QA/QC-ing and targeted importing of GS into the database will be done so the 2025 stats are fully complete. As for the playoffs, that’s likely also a manual add that doesn’t have an effect of gameplay. I’m sure it is on a list - and as someone that helps correct db issues, I don’t even see where those can be entered in the db so it might be a manually populated csv file.

Just to add, the 2024 GS are very much on our to do list, but it's a long list and this is a very minor thing in the grand scheme of things, which also being very time-consuming. I would expect we'll get this updated within the next couple patches (not a promise, just an estimate).

The 2025 GS will very likely not be updated until next year's game, as this is an issue with the stats we get from our data provider, and the format we get them in and much trickier to work through than you would think.
