You are trying to make something out of nothing. You've picked a poor spot to harass me.

You are an insider and on that basis are viewed by many as a knowledgeable authority. Due to your closeness to the throne you're viewed by them as a semi-official spokesman for OOTP. As an insider you have the implicit backing of OOTP. Your posts represent not just yourself but also OOTP to a great degree. Your behavior is not appropriate for someone in your position.
So you're trying to tell me the game default settings would somehow derail accuracy? You have also clearly not read a single thing I posted and inserted your own opinion about something I never talked about. 75 games is plenty of sample size when my guy who is the best overall you can get in the game who also has good batting ratings consistently strikes out and hits weak contact meanwhile guys with 40 contact and power are hitting homers off of one of the best pitchers in the game. The ratings don't matter clearly

So you'd ban people on the basis of them posting stuff you can't refute.

Why don't we end this on the basis of your complain we're disrupting the thread. Because we are. And count the posted words to see who is doing it the most.

If you could answer these questions we might find something there.
I already deleted the save, but my approach to PA's depend on the ratings. If I'm on offense I usually take a pitch or two and swing away once I get a strike. Stealing also seems to be pretty OP in this game. Pitching wise I'll pitch to lower level hitters, guys with good ratings I tend to pitch around (not that it seems to matter as I get rocked when I do that too.) I tried pitching to contact with extreme groundball pitchers and never once got a ground ball out of it so I stopped doing that altogether. It just doesn't seem to matter what I do or who I play, the results are usually a loss.

I also didn't tweak any of the settings except for stuff I control so I don't understand how my settings would be involved in how this has played out. I've tried multiple saves and keep getting the same result.

I'm going to close this thread.

bgaz33, all I can say is, give it time. We all have superstars who underperform, sometimes for longer than we really expect them to. Or maybe they'll overperform. But unless they've taken a hit to their ratings, sooner or later they should regress to the mean and perform closer to what we expect them to.

Rain King, please try to take your own advice and ignore Brad, at least for a little while. We understand, you don't want him to give newcomers a false impression of the game or a negative community experience. Nor do I. But trust me, between us moderators, the devs, and everyone else who can report him, we probably won't miss it if he crosses our line.

EDIT: In case it's not already clear, I closed the thread due to the squabbling between Brad K and Rain King, not because of anything the OP posted.

It's unfortunate the thread got derailed - as kq said, if things don't turn around for you, feel free to try again to get help.

As for the points listed otherwise in the thread, I would say that perhaps the issue is that you are trying to be "too strategic". Generally speaking, other than some exception cases options like pitching around, taking pitches, pitching to contact, etc... might be too aggressive of a result. If you pitch around someone like Ohtani when he's at the plate, you'll probably walk him half the time you face him. Sure, you probably want to pitch around him explicitly if he's the tying run in the 9th inning, but I'd highly suggest it's not worth doing for random ABs at other times, and if you do that too much, it might not get the results you expect. If there's no particular reason you want to take a pitch (like trying to time a steal attempt), it's probably not worth attempting otherwise you might see your guys take too many first pitch strikes, which can derail the rest of the AB if you then switch to the regular swing away.

Players can go through hot and cold streaks, and maybe it's some of that as well. But I wanted to make sure the above is known as a caution.
