"Your pitcher is getting fatigued/shelled"

Is there any way to turn this annoying feature off? I don't need the game to bother/interrupt me because it thinks I don't know how to handle my pitching staff.

Where are you seeing this? In a game play or sim?
I have never seen this before, in either.

I play every single game for every team in my league, now in the early 1970s, and consistently push starters into red text and I simply have never seen this. I do see starters getting shelled of course (it actually doesn’t matter as much when K rates and BABIP is lower in the first place; mostly what you see are more walks and HRs but even more HRs often doesn’t rear its head) but the only time I’m going to see the game actually tell me that is if I walk out to the mound and ask the pitcher.

If am in control of the team and want to burn some call-up in the last game of the season to ensure all my relievers and starters are fresh for the playoffs, I will start some poor fellow and pitch him by simming the innings until this message pops up. Then I will choose another non-playoff roster guy. So, if you have things for manual substitutions and are embarrassing a player who is in dead red as stamina, it will tell you that's enough and give you a chance to enter the game to get a new guy in.

It's the type of thing where if you kept pitching him in real life, the union is filing a grievance.

By chance are you simming a half inning at a time?

If you sim half inning or one inning, and your pitcher either gives up a bunch of runs or becomes fatigued, you can get the popup warning. Since in both of those cases, the AI will not make any moves for your team, it's better to warn you rather than leave them in to give up 12 runs and throw 85 pitches in an inning.

Yeah, at best I could see a request here to be able to manually set the limits for when this popup occurs, but it could potentially be disastrous for a team if turned off completely.

This obviously doesn't work for everyone but I use the Eugene Church method of simming out the first 6 innings and then playing from the 7th on. Occasionally you miss out on pitching changes or injury replacements but for the most part as long as you have your roster defined, you're good to go. I've never seen the "your pitcher is getting shelled" warning because I never sim just half an inning.
