Fiancial Questions, God Screens and resetting contracts

I have tried to recreate history by changing the entire salary system after the 1981 season. It has been a disaster.

I imported the 81 season, simmed it and then tried to go with my online managers for free agency. Since I did not offer any extensions during the 81 season, I ended up with a large number of free agents. However, when I try to give the winning bidder the player, I have run into all kinds of problems. Such things as "I won't sign with you again" or "I won't sign for that length of time".

Is there any way I can assign players and salaries with the finances turned on in an Internet league?

After that fiasco, I imported actually 82 teams but ended up with some strange contracts. The one that comes to mind is that Johnny Bench is signed for one year at $300,000 while Mario Soto is signed for 4 years at 9.09 million. I am pretty sure that JB would not be playing for $300,000

I love the impact of finances on leagues, but we need a method to overide the system. Is there anyway to do that.

If I turn off finances, then I can sign anybody but I assigned Schmidt to the Phillies (they bid $6 million) and he came on the roster at $300,000

I sure could use some help.

You can edit anyone’s salary, for example on the individual main player screen.

There's also a button in one of the league setup screens that will redo all the player salaries (bottom left corner of advanced I think). I don't know if you want to do that though, but you might. Make sure you backup though if you try it.
